  1. Do you think people would be willing to spend more on a device if it was guaranteed support and parts for 5-10 yrs? even if they have to pay for the parts after the warranty period. The device would be easy to repair.
  2. What about stuff like Lg saying consumers cant be trusted to pick their own repairmen who could potentially be dangerous?
  3. Do you think that the reason most tech giants who oppose rtr don't give a reason for that opposition is that the argument is their profit margin which wouldn't be very popular or because they don't think they need to explain themselves as if they think they know what's best for the consumer?
  4. could you see legislators looking at the example of dell and some other rtr friendly companies and actually trying to reform repair to be more consumer friendly or do you think rtr will get stuck in a kind of limbo like a lot of rtr bills have been?
  5. what about dell though? I have heard that they are quite friendly towards rtr.
  6. But do you see mass adoption of Motorola's stance ie selling parts and tools. Or do you think companies would rather continue spending millions on lobbying?
  7. Hi I'm doing an EPQ on the positives of right to repair and I've had a lot of difficulties finding information from manufacturers about why they oppose it. I was hoping to get some opinions from people from the forum as tech-savvy people. This would be very helpful to me and give me the views of some other people to use. Thank you!
