  1. Great, that helps. Thank you.
  2. Ok, thanks for the replies. I was hoping that maybe I was overlooking something, but it looks like I may have to mount it to the front after all. Stupid question: since there are already fans in the front of the Phanteks case, do I remove those before mounting the radiator/fan combo? Also, I'm assuming that I mount the radiator so that it's in the front-most position and the fans are towards the inside of the case, correct? Thanks again.
  3. Hey Everyone, I'm in the process of building out a new system and ran into a snag. No compatibility issues showed up on pcpartpicker.com when plugging in these parts: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX TG Case NZXT Kraken X62 Corsair Vengeance LED RAM Gigabyte X99 Designare When I try to mount the radiator/fan combo of the X62 to the top of the case - attaching to the slide-out tray on the Phanteks - it looks like the Corsair Vengeance LED RAM is just a bit too high to allow me to slide the tray all the way back into the top? Anyone else have this combination having the same issue? I know I can mount the radiator to the front, but I'd like to use the top if I can. Thanks.
  4. Hahaha! The beginning of that video is exactly what I was asking in my head. Awesome. How about this monitor?:
  5. This is all extremely helpful, thanks everyone. The last time I built a PC, SSDs weren't really popular yet. I had to read up on what the hell m.2 and u.2 were, LOL! So it looks like the Phanteks case comes with 3 fans already. Do you think I'll need any additional case fans? Also, I didn't even think about the monitor situation. What monitor setup are most people running these days? A single large monitor? Dual? Triple?
  6. Cool, then since I already own a couple of Samsung PRO SSD 1TB drives, I can save some cash. Thanks!
  7. My thought was that since a lot of games don't benefit from the multiple cores, the higher clock speed of the 6850K might be better for games. As far as the other stuff I do like video editing and such, it's about a wash. So since the 6850K might have a slight edge in gaming, I chose that one. Am I off base?
  8. Ah gotcha. Well I already own a couple of Samsung Pro SSD 1TB drives that I was going to add in addition to this one. The only reason why I picked this Plextor is because the reviews made it sound like the system would boot so much faster and games would run so much quicker. You think a regular SSD would be comparable?
  9. Do you like a different one better?
  10. I read that it was one of the fastest out there? Is there a better one, in your opinion? I'm open to any suggestions, thanks.
  11. I haven't built a system in years so I've been doing a lot of catch-up on what's currently out there. I've got a list of what I think I want, however I'm not certain on how many case fans I need (or will even fit in the case I've chosen)? I'd very much appreciate any input on this build list I've put together, as well as any input on whether you would change out anything. I use my PC as both a workstation and some gaming, with some video editing as well. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zkq7Gf
