  1. Currently at work but as soon as I get home I'll mess around with that see what I can figure out! Thank you.
  2. Intel 7700k, gigabyte 1080 windforce OC,evga 550w g2 80+ gold psu, 2x8(16g) vengeance lpx, SanDisk 240g SSD, seagate 2tb HDD, gigabyte ga z270p-d3 Mobo. Never usually noticed playing most games but playing World of Warcraft my PC seems to shut off mid game. I use nzxt CAM to monitor temps it doesn't seem to be over heating stays around 150f 65c. Happened during a fornite game but not most other games. Drivers are all updated that I can figure out. Only thing I can think of is maybe it's drawing to much power tripping the PSU?
  3. I find my PC shuts off when playing more high graphic required games with setting turned up. I use nzxt CAM to monitor temps. CPU is fine(7700k). GPU(gigabyte gtx1080 windforce edition) temps get up to about 150-160f I believe 65-70c, I didn't think it would over heat around those temps. So the only thing I can think of don't know if it is or not but I only have a 550w PS. Could this be an issue with the GPU trying to pull more power and that's causing the shut off?
  4. Alright ill give that a try see if it works! I have a Gigabyte GTX 1080 windforce OC 8g card if you know off the top of your head if its fans do that i cant seem to find anything my self.
  5. So i recently got NZXT CAM just to keep an eye on my temps and today i noticed on there it showed my GPU fans RPM's where at 0 so i looked inside and nope they were not spinning? every once in a while they will spin. iv checked for driver updates i put the gpu under a lite load and let it sit idle nothing seems to affect them coming on that i can tell they just come on and turn off on its own... Any one have any ideas i cant seem to come up with anything? Thank you!
  6. My current build hasn't been upgraded in about 5-6 years. I want to make a new build from scratch. My price range is roughly $1200-$1400(usd) just computer, not including peripherals or OS etc. I'll be using a duel monitor setup for gaming and media (twitch,Netflix,YouTube). Iv done a little research and browsing around was wondering how well this build would work. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LPtMr7 Open to any and all suggestions! Thank you.
  7. Sweet that's what I figured! Like said though pretty new to doing a build on my own so just wanted some outside opinions! Thanks again!
  8. What would be the best ram optimization for a gaming/media duel monitor setup? I7 7700k, msi z270 A pro, msi gtx 1070, evga 650w 80+ gold, sandisk 240g ssd. 8g of ram 16g of ram? If 16g would 4x4g be better or 2x8g?? I'm fairly new to pc building on my own, just trying to make sure I get everything right!
  9. Didn't want to tag everyone but if any of you do see this thank you all for your input!
  10. I will be getting a new monitor just wanted to make sure I was getting something that worked with the gpu I'd be getting too. my plan was 1080p 144hz and a 1070. Sorry for not clarifying earlier.
  11. I was thinking about 1080p 144hz with a 1070. That's why I made his post because 1080 seemed a bit over kill and with how the 480's are a bit cheaper I didn't know how'd they preform at 1080p.
  12. The 480 get about 100 frames for 1080p? I haven't looked into the 480's much.
  13. Is the 1080 a bit over kill for gaming in 1080 resolution? From what little research I have done it looks like a 1070 can pretty much handle everything in 1080 and get 100+ frames in most aaa titles at max graphics?
