  1. Hi guys, I'm currently not at home but will come back in June of this year. I have a gaming PC that I already built in summer 2015 at home that is equipped with the following hardware: - i7 4790K - asrock H97 Pro4 motherboard (please no comments on the H97 / 4790k combination. I don't overclock and only profit from the higher boost clock of the K version, works out for me) - 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport ddr-1600 - 256GB Samsung 850 Pro SSD - 1TB HDD from Western Digital - Air cooling system - NZXT S340 - Be quiet straight power 10 500W PSU - Geforce Gtx 970 from Zotac Now as soon as I come back I will upgrade on a GTX 1070. My question is, will the system with the 1070 be enough to play all games in 2017 on highest settings, @60 fps, in 1440p resolution? (I'm mean triple A titles of 2017 like Ghost Recon Wildlands or Mass Effect Andromeda)
  2. My setup: i7 4790k @ 4.00Ghz Asrock H97 Pro4 (I don't overclock and have the K version only because I wanted 0.4 GHZ more at standard core clock, Z97 would not have been worth it, please no comments on that ^^) 16gb crucial ballistix sport ddr3 1600 256gb Samsung 850 Pro SSD be quiet! Straight Power 10 500W NZXT s340 I currently have a GTX 970. But I want to upgrade on a 1070 soon. Will my processor make it without any problems/bottleneck? (I play AAA titles on ultra in 1440p with 60fps?
  3. Hi, I the following components: i7 4790k, H97 Pro4 (I don't want Z97, couldn't afford it), 16gb drr3 1600 RAM, 256gb SSD. (That's the important part) I plan on upgrading on anew EVGA GTX 1070 SC. I want to play Battlefield 1 (and other AAA titles) @ maxed settings in 1440p in 60fps. Will aktivating vsync make the game play smoother, similar to what g sync does? Does my Dell U2515H have vsync?
  4. Hi guys! I the following components: i7 4790k, H97 Pro4 (I don't want Z97, couldn't afford it), 16gb drr3 1600 RAM, 256gb SSD. (That's the important part) I plan on upgrading on a new EVGA GTX 1070 SC. I want to play Battlefield 1 @ maxed settings in 1440p in 60fps on my Dell U2515H. Will it run the expected 60 fps in 1440p resolution without any problems? I mean problems like incompatibility of the Mainboard with the resolution for example..? Or could the RAM bottleneck ?
  5. I have a Dell U2515h and I thought about upgrading it since I get a GTX 1070 this spring. The U2515h has 1440p at 60hz with an IPS Panel. Is it worth it to give the IPS Panel up and get a Dell Se2417DG. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B01IOO4SGK/ref=mw_dp_cr What do you think, worth it?
  6. Hey, I'm currently having a Dell U2515H 1440p 60hz IPS monitor. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SPWPF1O/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484170098&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dell+u2515h&dpPl=1&dpID=41xlxTUPeIL&ref=plSrch 60 fps works fine with my GTX 970 but since I'm planning on upgrading on a GTX 1070 I thought about going with a 1440p 144hz monitor. The only one I can possibly afford is the DELL S2417DG with a TN Panel. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IOO4SGK/ref=mp_s_a_1_cc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484169944&sr=1-1-catcorr&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dell%2Bgaming%2Bmonitor&th=1&psc=1 I read that the panel is better than other TN panels, but I'm still not sure how worse it will be compared to my current IPS. What do you say, is G sync, 1440p, 144hz worth it or would you go with a TN Panel.
  7. Hi guys, your professional opinion is needed. This is my current setup: i7 4790k Asrock H97 Pro4 (I don't have Z Chipset because I don't overclock, but profit from the 0.4 (or even 0.6) GHZ plus in the K processor) 16 gb Crucial RAM ddr3 - 1600 Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD WD Blue 1 TB HDD be quiet straight power 10 500W PSU Zotac GeForce GTX 970 Amp! Extreme Core Edition Dell U2515H 1440p 60hz 25" monitor As soon as the spring comes I want to have some major changes in this PC and the entire setup. And I have two ways in mind to do that. WAY 1: First of all I want the PC to be better looking to put it on the table. So I get a new case like the S340 Elite, some LEDs and custom cables. Then I change the GPU to a GTX 1070 for better performance but keep the rest of the hardware. A new mouse and keyboard as well and the refreshed setup it ready for some deluxe high end gaming of AAA titles on 1440p with maxed settings and average 70-80 fps. That would overall cost about 600-700$. WAY 2: Basically buy an entire new build with Intels Kaby Lake 7700k processor, GTX 1070 a nice looking design and that kinda of stuff for about 1500$. I essentially would be able to get that money with a lot of effort but I don't know if it's worth it. Please guys tell me your opinion and what you would do in this case.
  8. Hi, This is my setup: i7 4790k Asrock H97 Pro4 (I don't have Z Chipset because I don't overclock, but profit from the 0.4 (or even 0.6) GHZ plus in the K processor) 16 gb Crucial RAM ddr3 - 1600 Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD WD Blue 1 TB HDD be quiet straight power 10 500W PSU NZXT s340 Zotac GeForce GTX 970 Amp! Extreme Core Edition But I plan on upgrading on an EVGA GTX 1070. Can I expect the unfettered, unrestricted, full power of the 1070 without any kind of problems or bottlenecking with the i7 4790K? PS: I want to play triple A titles like Battlefield 1 or Mass Effect Andromeda at 1440p with maxed settings in 60 fps. Thanks
  9. I don't understand why so many people tell me that. The K version is 0.4 GHZ faster at standard than the 4790 so that's the reason for the K processor. I don't want to overclock or SLI so what's the point of a Z Chipset.
  10. I7 4790k Evga gtx 1070 16gb RAM ddr3 1600 256gb Samsung 850 Pro Asrock H97 pro
  11. i7 4790K GeForce GTX 970 Zotac Extreme (I will upgrade on EVGA GTX 1070 SC) Crucial Ballistix Sport 16gb ddr3 1600 256gb SSD Samsung 850 Pro WD 1tb HDD (I couldn't afford Z97 mobo)
  12. Do you guys think the parts down below together with a Corsair H100i V2 liquid cooler and some LED fans and stuff make a gorgeous looking build? I mean if the colors match Thanks I appreciate any other kind of tips to make a PC build look incredible.
  13. Hey, I'm planning on spicing up the setup (listed below) to make it look gorgeous and to put it on my desk. I like the Air 540 case but it might be a little big to put it on the desk. Do you like this case? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01F0KVP2Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1483840412&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=phanteks+enthoo&dpPl=1&dpID=41b9PZ4y4aL&ref=plSrch DO you think it looks good with the asrock H97 Pro4 mobo? Other advice welcomed too...!
