  1. I have recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 3655. I have a few questions regarding the upgradability of the computer. Specs: Dual channel 2-8 GB 1600MHZ DDR3 RAM Sticks AMD A8-7410 APU w/ Radeon R5 Graphics 1TB 7200 RPM SATA HD 3 PCI-e half-length Slots (A 3GB DDR5 DirectX 12 GPU will be going in one) Unknown GPU at this time. 350W Power Supply 1080p Monitor - Questions: Will my computer get very hot if I add the GPU? Will I need a second fan? What should go into the other PCI-e Slots? Is this a good general gaming rig? Thanks in advance.
  2. Thanks Electronics Wizardy, Tomoki and PCNoobie. What you guys are saying is that to upgrade my computer I will need a DGPU, a better power supply, and an SSD. Thanks, I appreciate it. One last thing though, what should I upgrade the power supply to? And how much power will a DGPU and an extra fan draw?
  3. Thanks for the input, I was thinking 1080. Also, what do you mean by a DGPU?
  4. Thanks for the quick response. This is not a laptop. This is an upgradable desktop.
  5. I have recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 3655. I have a few questions regarding the upgradability of the computer. Specs: 8 GB 1600MHZ DDR3 RAM AMD A8-7410 APU w/ Radeon R5 Graphics 1TB 7200 RPM SATA HD 3 PCI-e Slots *Edit, these slots are full height and half length. 65W Power Supply - Questions: Should I dual-channel the RAM for 16GB total? What monitor should I use? 1080p, 1440p, 2080p, or 4K? Can I add a GPU to one of the PCI-e Slots (Due to the APU processor and half length PCI-e Slot size)? >> If I can add a GPU to the PCI-e Slot, is 65 W enough for that GPU and a fan if it gets hot? Is this a good general gaming rig? Thanks in advance.
