  1. My second drive used to be my main drive but has been wiped and replaced with a new drive where I have done a fresh install of windows. Now when I power on my pc I have the option of Windows 10 volume 2 or volume 6. Volume 6 just gives me a blue screen with an error code and volume 2 boots just fine. How do I remove volume 6? If you check the images below my 2nd drive does not have windows on it and my main drive only has 1 windows folder.
  2. Yeah I have my CPU OC'd by 100Mhz and disabling that actually fixed it lol that's so silly it doesn't seem to crash in any other game. Thanks for the solution!
  3. There is no error message or anything the game just instantly closes and brings me to my desktop. I doesn't happen on any other game so I don't believe any hardware I have is defective and my GPU doesn't ever really exceed 72C so I don't believe it is overheating or anything.
  4. I have an ASUS TUF X570 PRO mobo with a Ryzen 9 5900X and it required a bios flash. The light has been flickering off and on for an hour. Is there anything I can do without bricking the board? 20210501_221207.mp4
  5. I'm looking to upgrade my PC to a Ryzen 5 1600 with a GTX 1080, but would I get all the performance out of a GTX 1080 with a Ryzen 5, or should I just buy a GTX 1070 instead? I have a 1080p 144hz display
  6. I'm looking to pick up a cheap core i5 to upgrade from my i3 4170. I see on Ebay there is a core i5 4570 and the chipsocket is FCLGA1150 Will this work in my lga1150 motherboard?
  7. I recently upgraded from an r9 270x to a gtx 1060. I uninstalled the AMD drivers and installed the latest nvidia ones and ever since then like 2-3 times a day my screen goes completely black and my drivers are "not responding". Is this happening to anyone else, or did I do something wrong?
  8. I'll be running it with the gtx 1060 6GB thats the main reason I am getting the CPU upgrade due to the bottlenecking of my current I3 CPU. For what I've seen online the GTX 1060 is pretty solid Thank you for the help I saw on ebay also they were going for around 150 which to me was insane since I paid around 100 for my i3 a while back. I just wasn't sure if the 4th gen i5's were still powerful for modern games like the witcher 3, or the new tomb raider. But if there isn't much performance difference then I'm hoping it will perform well.
  9. Thanks for the fast reply and I was planning on buying a used one as my budget it pretty tight unfortunately. Thanks for the help!
  10. I am currently running a core i3 4170 and considering getting an upgrade. I was planning on getting a core i5 4690 as I don't have a z97 motherboard so theres no point in spending extra for the K version for overclocking. I know skylake processors are better and give a much better upgrade path, but I simply cannot afford a new motherboard and RAM to go with something like a core i5 6500. Besides I probably won't upgrade my pc for another say 3 years and by then intels new brand of processors will probably be out by then. Is it still worth me buying the 4690 for gaming?
  11. Thanks for the fast replies I was going to go for a rx 480 originally, but for what I've seen online apparently the gtx 1060 out performs the rx 480 ever so slightly, however as today is black friday I did find a 6GB 1060 for pretty cheap. I understand 6GB is more than enough, but since its going to be quite a while until I get a new graphics card I figured it wouldn't be such a good idea going for 3GB since even some games these days are pushing 3GB at 1080p.
  12. My current build is: Core i3 4170 MSI H81M P33 8GB RAM 1866mhz R9 270X 2GB I'm interested in playing games like The Witcher 3, Far Cry 4/primal, The new Hitman and Tomb raider. I've tried running these on my PC and even on the lowest settings the games are still pretty choppy. I've seen people on youtube running those games perfectly fine on the Core i3, so I figured it was my GPU that was letting me down. What do you guys think is the 1060 a good choice, or should I stick with the GPU I have and go for a core i5 instead? Unfortunately I can't quite afford both right now and it's going to be quite a while before I am able to afford the other.
