  1. Yup just given it a go, dont know why I didnt think of that obvious answer
  2. My girlfriend likes playing The Sims, but in the case of an OS reset she would lose all her saves. Is there a way to just automatically copy a folder and place it in a set location, then reupdate that every once in a while, whether daily, every hour whatever. I don't want something that means I'd have to go through menus to find the copied data, just literally something that makes a copy and shoves it in a folder on another drive for instance without having to worry about doing it manually. Obviously would be used for more than just The Sims if it's useful and works.
  3. So I got me a Vega 64, but on installing drivers I get hit with a BSOD for an ATIkmdag.sys error. The computer then BSODs for the same issue on startup until I boot into safe mode and remove the drivers. My system ran fine with my previous card (R9 290) until its death. I uninstalled all previous drivers (using DDU), have a fresh windows I dont know what more to do, no one else's "solutions" online have helped and im getting pretty wound up... It is DURING driver installation just to reiterate as some solutions have said to install then do stuff before turning off but I cant get that far.
  4. Display is running through GPU, I've had this rig running for years with no issue, when suddenly this happens with no hardware changes
  5. Come on I gave loads of info someone must have an idea
  6. Wait is it only with For Honor? If so you kinda need to include that info...
  7. Remove all drivers then reinstall the latest
  8. So I'm having an issue with my desktop, my girlfriend was playing The Sims 3 having a good time when she got hit with a blue screen, upon restart it passes the boot screen and the windows loading spinny dots, but just as it should tell you to log in the monitor loses input. I don't know any more about the cause because I was not in at the time so that is all the info I've got on that What I've tried: Safe Mode Graphics driver removal/back dating System restore Windows reset What I've learnt: It works fine with safe mode, so I downloaded my driver removal tool and went at it. A quick restart later and it runs perfectly (as a desktop can without graphical drivers). However installing graphical drivers, even older ones I have installed myself with no issues before seems to revert it back to the input loss before log in. Due to it being an issue that doesn't occur in safe mode/without drivers I would guess it's maybe a windows or GPU issue? I have attempted to try to repair windows using the advance boot menu and taking it back to a system restore point that was made earlier that day, but the restore failed. I then tried a full windows reset but during the reset finalising it restarted to continue, but never got to the log in again, and after hard restarting it just said that it was reverting changes. So at this point I have done all I can think of save for using a USB copy to repair windows which is on my to do list. Any other help would be recommended. Specs: AMDFX6300 AMD R9 290 16GB RAM
  9. Thanks both of you, looks like those would do the trick, I swear I searched that exact thing but whatever.

    Case Fans

Hey, I got me two case fans however I only have one case fan plug on my motherboard so I have them plugged in by molex meaning they are running full speed all the time, therefore noisy and probably reducing their life span, basically I want to know if there is a connector to plug two fans into one case fan plug on the MOBO or what I have to do in regards to this, I tried just googling things like molex to 4 pin and stuff but never found anything that looked right so I figured I'd ask someone who knows
