  1. Then what should do I? try with other brand? ( the problem is pay taxes and shipping again) or stay with this if the problem is general? more people have these electrical noises with 970 in these games?
  2. I bought a asus strix 970 and had coil whine while playing (tested with different psu and same electrical noises), then I received now a replacement of the same asus strix 970, and with the new GPU have the exactly same coil whine. If anyone had the same card and the witcher 3 or guild wars 2, I would know if you ocurrs the same electrical noise for know if it is normal or not (the sounds were recorded with the phone very near of gpu): http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Rcz2FrjUun >> Witcher 3, from 6-13s, noise in the main menu (with vsync "off", if active vysnc "on" the sound of the first 13 secs turn off) and from 13-26s it is other electrical noise when Im playing ingame (the same noise with vysnc "off" and "on") http://vocaroo.com/i/s1AaExjvU7aF >> Guild wars 2, no noise in the main menu, and the electrical noise begins in second 11 when I'm ingame (same noise with vysnc "on" and "off"). And as I said, my another asus gtx 970 has exactly the same noise with both games and I don't know that I must to do, I really want know if it ocurrs in all the asus 970 or not with these games that I tested. I would appreciate any advice or help, thanks.
  3. Yes, the 1º record are done with the 2 pcie cables unplugged, but with the GPU fans running. Also I connected a old GPU and didn't do this noise (also without pcie cables and with GPU fan without running). About GPU almost certainly I should do RMA But I don't know if the electrical noise of PSU (in the 2º audio) is normal or not, I think that when I bought the PSU a year ago didnt do the electrical noise so loud, now sometimes is more louder than in the 2º record (but always in idle, if start a videogame in load then the electrical noise decrease and in idle returns again noiser).
  4. And a last question, I check the noise in my case, and I record 2 audios with my phone, first 10 seg are near to PSU seasonic, and the rest more near of the GPU (turn up the volume): http://vocaroo.com/i/s1jAstK7xTJ1 I think that have a new noise of the GPU (maybe with the fans, or coil whine :\). And I record also other near of the PSU seasonic with their clearest electrical noise: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1g7jNX6nCCT Is it coil whine of my PSU? or is a electrical noise normal? (the distant noise is from GPU like in the first audio). I need know if need to do RMA of GPU+PSU, or only the GPU.
  5. Interesting alternative with the evga, is it more silent than seasonic platinum 760? in reviews seems the HX750i more silent and cooler than EVGA G2 but also is more expensive: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/SuperNOVA_G2_750/6.html http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/HX750i/6.html
  6. I have a seasonic platinum 760 with noise and coil whine and I need change it, I'm thinking in these 2 corsair, what is best choice? I guess that any of these 2 are equal of silent than my seasonic P760 right? what of these is more silent, any difference in noise? RM750i are ~150€ and HX750i are ~170€, the difference of price is not much. Both have 7 years warrantee. Thanks.
  7. What do you mean? if I connect the fan with L.N.A adapter in my mobo, what defaullt voltage have it? 9v or less? as I said, I'm interesing in set the fan at 9v, and I don't know if when connect the fan to mobo, if should use the L.N.A adapter (without configure bios), or without the L.N.A and set the 9v in the bios.
  8. I have two noctua A14 ULN fans in frontal fractal r4 case, and they don't start spin at 7v when turn on the PC, only with 12v (and I can't set 9v with the frontal switch, and I would like testing the fans at 9v). So I'm thinking connect the fans directly to the motherboard for that they work at 9v, but I dont know how should do it, connect the fans and simply in the bios set the fan speed at 9v? or use the L.N.A wire adapter and keep the default bios config (I guess that is 12v)? with the L.N.A will work the fans with 9v without config bios or like? what is the point of this adapter then? I'm quite confused, and I only want the best way for that the fans work at 9v always and rarely can use them at max speed 12v. Thanks.
  9. Thanks! I read that these noctuas don't spin with the fan controller at 5v when turn on the computer. Also I found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOsN5wy0Cq0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfLS2ZRa6Ys Looks like than the ULN only will spin me with the fan controller at 12v (mmm maybe also with 7v?), and the FLX with 7v and 12v, so that my 2 options are use: -ULN set at 12v (using max rpm ~800) -> 79,8 m³/h, 0,69 mm H2O, 11,9 dB(A) -FLX at 7v (using min rpm ~900), -> 88,7 m³/h, 0,89 mm H2O, 13,8 dB(A) The fractal r2 stock fans with 7v are: 52.8 m³/h, 0.54H2O, 14.9 dB(A) I guess then that the noctua A14 ULN is more powerful and silent than my fractal fans, and FLX even more, so any of these two is good choice for replace my fractal fans and avoid the coil whine, right?
  10. But with the fractal r4 fan controller (changing 5,7 and 12v) need use these adaptars? for example, if buy the FLX and without adapter set at 7v, will run it at 900rpm? And another question with my fractal r4, the ULN at 800rpm (12v) will be enough or with more airflow than fractal r2 fans?
  11. Then which should take, FLX (working 7v with 900rpm) or ULN (12v 800rpm)?
  12. Case ventilation, 2 intake front and 1 back exhaust, removing the fractal fans...
  13. Hi. Need advices, I bought a fractal r4 and the two stock fractal fans have a engine's noise like coil whine a little upset (I use them in 7v but they do the noise always no matter voltage...), then I think in the noctuas but I have a question, what is better, noctua A14 FLX set at 7v (900rpm) or ULN set at 12v (800rpm, more quiet although with a little less airflow)? FLX is still more quiet than the fractal r2 fan at 7v? and without the engine's noise right? (I would bought 3, 2 intake 1 back) I also hear other possible recommendations, but with square frame and without engine noise, although I trust noctua more (have U14S and the fan is very quiet without the stupid engine's noise). Thanks you.
