  1. Yes, since the noise only come the fan? Do you know whether or not they are quieter than the fan in the stock cooler?
  2. I am thinking buying a sound dampening mat, or get a quieter CPU cooler.
  3. Yeah, I was assembling the PC, left a cable under the mobo, did it all over again, took a nap in the middle. Turns out poking around the back of the motherboard from the back of the case seems to do the trick. As you can see from the pic in the beginning, the audio ports and the I/O shield does not really align, that's the reason I wanted to take out the motherboard. After a while of squeezing and wiggling, I realized that the I/O, mobo, case standoffs cannot align together perfectly, so I chip out all audio side of the panel.
  4. You are right, the black color under the holes is the case. I feel like the shield is holding the board since the DVI and VGA is fitting so tight. But I feel it is too tight for just getting stucked in the I/O shield, the whole board feels locked into the case.
  5. Did you mean hold the mobo power connector and lift and pull away from the I/O shield? The crew behind the RAM has been removed.
  6. Yeah, for some reason I did not know, the motherboard was struggling to go in when I was installing it, I did it with after few attemps.
  7. Can you please give a more detailed explaination? Where it is stucked?
  8. It's only slightly, it's from the mobo, I have that even when I was installing it, does not seem like a big problem, but I don't want to go beyond that.
  9. No, I did not use all the stand offs when I first initially install it.
  10. This is a special design from GYGABITE mobo, the case does not actually have a stand off for that.
  11. I'm using a Cooler Master N200. I' afraid using more force, because I can hear cracking sound when I lift the from motherboard power.
  12. I took out every screws, and I disconnected all cables. The motherboard still feels like is screwed to the case, it won't move a single bit no matter how much force I use.
  13. Multi-usage, I use it for gaming and video download/play in Windows, but I will also install a Linux system on it.
  14. How long is a typical life circle for a HDD?
  15. Is it true that it does not have locking mechanism, and the cable can detach easily?
  16. I have a older version of SEAGATE HDD ST1000DM003, and it has a lot of complains under review about dying in a short period of time. I did not initially go with WD because Carey Holzman(a very experienced technician on YouTube) saying the SATA connector does not have locking mechanism. I am curious about what would you recommend.
  17. I reset the CMOS by taking out the battery, it is working now.
  18. By pull the plug you mean disconnect the power supply? I did that, and pressed power botton for 30 secs, nothing.
  19. I put my PC to sleep mode, when I came back, the power led is on, monitor detects nothing. I pressed reset and power botton few times, nothing happens, so I long pressd the power botton, and it cannnot be turned on any more. No onboard LED, no fans. There is history when I switch my RAM slots, the PC wouldn't turn on, but after I completely disconnected the power for 20 minutes, it could be turned on. Sleep mode also involves RAM, but I am not sure if it's related this time.
  20. to me sincerity is number one when it comes to choosing a company, this is the kind of act that makes me want to stay away from them
