  1. ok thanks i was just wondering if there was way to bypass the graphics check.
  2. I had an old athlon 860k system laying around that i want to repurpose as a home server. The only problem is that the gpu that was in it is in my current desktop so it doesn't have any graphics output. I used the graphics card to setup ubuntu server and removed the card and tried to boot. The system seemed to stat but I was never able to ssh in. After some googling I decided that it is probably not POSTing. Does anyone know a way to get around this and boot without a gpu installed? Here is the full parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YQfrw6
  3. would this be a decent option or not: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160275
  4. I'm looking to upgrade my monitor from the horrid vizio tv i have been using for awhile and was wondering what people suggested. I looking for something thats 1080p 120hz with low input lag. I would prefer something under or around $200 if possible.
  5. no it does not. the other strange thing i forgot to mention was that while stress testing with furmark i saw a clear almost 10fps increase between non overclocked and overclocked. So it seems that did not see the same problem.
  6. no temps are around 80 and the power is around 150. and i have to max set at 90 degrees and +50%. and the base power draw is 120 without boosting the power limit.
  7. I built my system a while ago and recently decided i wanted to overclock my gpu to squeeze a little more performance out of it. So i started overclocking finally settling with 1410 on the core and 1900 on the memory(it started at 1291 and 1750 respectively) but when i went to do a benchmark of before and after I actually lost points in both cinebench in opengl mode and superposition. so i pulled up afterburner and noticed something weird. The core clock was very stable with the original one but when i overclocked there were some big dips and fluctuations in the clock and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what could be causing this.
  8. I have been looking to upgrade my computer because my athlon 860k is severly outdated. I have been wanting to do some streaming and gaming so i want to go with this setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ktnW3b but i want a second opinion before buying it.
  9. i was planning on using a 2x4gb 2400mhz kit
  10. I want to upgrade my pc and decided on the ryzen 5 2600x for the cpu, but I am not sure what motherboard to go for. I was looking at the Asrock AB350 Pro4 but I noticed only the latrest bios revision supports the 2nd gen ryzen cpus and I was wondering. If I were to get a motherboard with an old bios would there be anyway to update without buying a cheap 1st gen ryzen cpu to boot with and update the bios?
