  1. Thanks guys, I really do appreciate all the opinions! I'll hold still for the time being then since as it is right now it seems like I'm GTG outside of if I was trying for highest resale value for specific parts.
  2. Gaming, streaming, and just boring regular suff my rig now gives me no issues. Going to personally designing stuff for my customers to have as promotional items for my wife's business, I have no idea how my setup will perform, if anything will likely come up. I figure if going from DDR3 to DDR4 would help a ton then I've got to replace a few things to do it.
  3. If my current setup is more than enough creating graphically intense print and online materials I'll push on with what I have till I'm bogged in Illustrator or CS3.
  4. More or less just because. When I get lucky and the wifey ok's my parts spending, being able to say "Hey it's not needed but will stay current enough for at least a few years". Honestly I'm also thinking of getting into learning to create promotional material and don't want to get into it only to realize I could of got things done quicker if I had only made a few changes.
  5. Yeah I know that's all I'd replace (maybe get new case as well), but those parts get pretty pricey fast! Since I'm all Intel that's where I'd stay. Don't HAVE to have the newest chipsets or anything, just wondered if my hardware could use a good swap out?
  6. So I built my system roughly 3 years ago using a 4930k at 4.2Ghz. I currently have 16GB DDR3 Kingston, a GTX 1080 FE, 1TB Samsung EVO, and 4TB HDD in said build. With the newer processors having at least the same core count or higher and me kind of wanting to upgrade to DDR4 I'm not really sure I ACTUALLY need to. Is my current config able to go on strong for quite some time or should I really start planning my upgrade? If my setup now could find new life just with some optimizations hardware (maybe software too) wise I'll consider any and all thoughts.
  7. I currently have a sata 850 EVO/ 2TB HDD setup and was curious about how much overhead I should reserve on my ssd for future updates and firmware since the OS and most used programs are loaded onto it. Should I move installation locations from the ssd to hdd when I drop using them so frequently?
  8. My bad guys really! Thanks for letting me know! I'll just have to play some Boys to Men's "It's so hard to say goodbye" for myself then.
  9. With the change of role at LMG, I know I have quite a need for my favorite comedian and prankster Nicky V! Not sure how many others feel the same way, but it would be awesome to have a showing of love and closure for our buddy in maybe a final appearance sometime before the end of year. @Linus it would be awesome AF if you could make that happen or even by a straw poll to see how many others would love for it to happen as well. @nicklmg as much as I started watching because of Linus, I also blame me staying with LMG because of you Nick. You've made a brother laugh and your antics have made many a bad days just a bit better. For that I'll be always grateful!
