  1. basically the like am4 backplate/bracket has come off and it only secures with the screws from the cooler to the bracket, i was repasting after a few years and the bracket came off and I have no idea how to secure the bracjet so I can screw it back in and I don't want to completely take my motherboard out and do it. Any ideas on how to secure it in place with it being in the case?
  2. Right so basically noticed high cpu temp lately after upgrading ram to 2x8gb of 3200Mhz corsair. This is during playing RDR2. It went from averaging around 60 degrees to around 70. Keep in mind, nothing else was changed. So then I noticed after, that my CPU temp was always high and my fan was spinning nearly 100% always. My CPU is a ryzen 5 1600 on 3.8Ghz. When i went on ryzen master it would show up about 60 degrees sometimes a little higher then start rapidly going down. So then i exited off it, and went back on, same thing happened. So I went to see what is making my CPU so hot, open up task manager, it starts on like 79%, then all the processes load and it drops down to about 5% usage. I've been digging because this seems like a mining virus or trojan or something and I can't open up task scheduler which is another huge giveaway as they usually use that to start the miner on log on. I finally got process hacker but everything is normal. The only thing I was worried about was the system idle process being on like 95% usage but then after some searching apparently thats normal. I still feel like I have a mining virus and IDK. Maybe its just a faulty temp recorder or I applied thermal paste shittly a while back but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure if thats a normal thing, for task manager to jump from like 70+% usage to normal at the start. Any suggestions?
  3. While playing rdr2, my cpu was usually around 60 degrees Celsius sometimes getting up to 65 at the max. Now it averages around 70 and reaches 80 even sometimes. I have a ryzen 5 1600 with the stock cooler. Now it used to be on 3.9 GHZ with 2x4gb of 2800mhz ram, then I upgraded to 2x8gb 3200mhz ram and it crashed on 3.9 so it's now on 3.8GHZ and stable. Now the cpu as I said reaches much higher temps and the GPU, I feel like it's being utilized less and now only goes to 60 max at 99% load when it went to 65-67 before. I guess that's a positive but I feel like that's got something to do with the cpu. Any ideas on what happened and if I can get the temps back down?
  4. Honestly dont know think its the same with everything
  5. DDU? Also I have latest nVidia drivers
  6. I'll try normal and fast modes then
  7. Honestly no idea, if anything I reinstalled windows but that shouldnt change anything right?
  8. It's a 144hz 1920x1080 VA 24 inch panel with "1ms" response time. It has a normal, fast and fastest response time mode and low input lag mode and I have it on the fastest and low input lag mode on. Im pretty sure these settings dont change the ghosting but when I am playing kovaak's aim trainer or overwatch I feel like the enemies are blurring past. I know I have motion blur turned off and it looks like ghosting. Enemies are usually red or red outlined if that helps? Just want to know some general monitor tips to make better/ specific things to fix ghosting.
  9. Would my asus prime b350-plus be good for a ryzen 5 3600 or would I need to get a b450/x470?
  10. UK link pls? cant find one
  11. Sorry forgot I made this post. Thanks for the response. Basically, in game I get FPS drops to like 120 and sometimes it stays there and it feels a lot worse due it being a spike and yeah just feels horrible. And the GPU usage is proof that it's something to do with my CPU usage as usually my CPU can easily get 300FPS in practice range for other people and in game like 220FPS out of fights whilst I get like 170 max and in fights I hover anywhere from 120-150. While others gets like 180FPS minimum. So yeah im just confused as to where all that performance is going.
  12. Looking for a 1440P 144Hz monitor, got a ryzen 5 1600, gonna get ryzen 5 3600 hopefully and a gtx 1080 and I can run 1440P 144Hz on competitive games and 1440P 60Hz on graphics demanding games so looking to upgrade from my 1080P 144Hz. Any recommendations?
  13. Can you go low settings, like as low as possible. Just to eliminate the GPU.
  14. How much FPS? Just when you spawn in dont move and the FPS there, mine is ~220 at ~20% usage
  15. Remain the same, I think at least, will test now.
  16. MSI Afterburner. My ram is 2800MHz and GPU is GTX 1080 SC from EVGA but I play at low settings (competitive).
  17. Any ideas as to why this is happening? In Practice Range a R5 1600 like mine get 300 FPS at ~30% usage. I get ~220FPS at ~20% usage and it doesnt go higher. Why is this? GPU isnt capping it.
  18. I have another issue. In overwatch, its not reaching FPS cap like a normal ryzen 5 1600 would, it's only using 20% while a normal one uses ~30%. Why do I have such low CPU usage?
  19. voltage was never at 3.2 it's at 1.35, the clock was at 3.2, now 3.8 overclocked.
  20. resetting bios did it. Only 10 points off now which could be anything, isnt really important. Thanks for the help
  21. Original and it's not, when doing test was at like 55 degrees C.
  22. However I now get bad stuttering in Overwatch.
