Right so basically noticed high cpu temp lately after upgrading ram to 2x8gb of 3200Mhz corsair. This is during playing RDR2. It went from averaging around 60 degrees to around 70. Keep in mind, nothing else was changed.
So then I noticed after, that my CPU temp was always high and my fan was spinning nearly 100% always. My CPU is a ryzen 5 1600 on 3.8Ghz. When i went on ryzen master it would show up about 60 degrees sometimes a little higher then start rapidly going down. So then i exited off it, and went back on, same thing happened.
So I went to see what is making my CPU so hot, open up task manager, it starts on like 79%, then all the processes load and it drops down to about 5% usage.
I've been digging because this seems like a mining virus or trojan or something and I can't open up task scheduler which is another huge giveaway as they usually use that to start the miner on log on. I finally got process hacker but everything is normal. The only thing I was worried about was the system idle process being on like 95% usage but then after some searching apparently thats normal.
I still feel like I have a mining virus and IDK. Maybe its just a faulty temp recorder or I applied thermal paste shittly a while back but I'm not sure.
I'm also not sure if thats a normal thing, for task manager to jump from like 70+% usage to normal at the start.
Any suggestions?
