  1. Hey guys! I have a problem with AMD ReLive. I am using the instant replay function and i have noticed that the programm writes all the footage it records to a hidden cache folder until the hard drive is out of space. Do you know if these temp files get deleted after an amount of time or do you have to delete it every time manually? Thanks in advance!
  2. Well im dumb. Most graphics cards on that level do not need any psu connector, so I should be good to go right?
  3. Hi there! I'm building a PC for my grandma with a few old parts but I don't have any dedicated graphics card to use and the PC does not have integrated graphics or sth. The PC is not for gaming or sth (only some card games ), just for browsing and sort of stuff. So I just need a graphics card that can display a picture on the screen basically The Motherboard is a MSI 770-C45 paired with a AMD Phenom II X4 925. I think I have to buy some used card from ebay or so, current graphics cards are too overkill for this case (pun alert) I guess. What do you recommend? And another question is: I have noticed that the old PSU (Enermax EG465 or sth) does not even have a built in VGA connector, only thousands of molex and sata connectors, there is only a molex to vga adapter which is kinda bullshit. Do you think it will work or should I get a cheap more modern PSU? Thanks in advance!
  4. I should mention that i am going for 1080p only by the way. And what do you guys think of the XFX RS Black Edition's cooling performance?
  5. Hi there, LTT community! I already asked a question shortly before christmas I guess if I should get a new AMD card or a used GTX 970. Now the fan of the 970 is broken and i sent the card to mindfactory. But they do not have any GTX 970 left, so i have to buy a new one. I am aiming for a RX 470 or 480 but im still unsure if 4 gigs or 8. So first question is: Which one would you get? RX 470 4gig (195-212€), 8gig (240€), 480 (220-250€) or the 8gig one (260€ - 290€)? Pretty tough decision, I guess. Sure, 8 gigs are more "futureproof" but with a RX 470 you don't really wanna futureproof your system I think. RX 480 with 8 would make more sense at that point, right? And 2nd question: Is a 6 pin enough for a descent overclock? Because I would like to oc a little bit. Yeah, 5 fps. Who cares? I know, but it's fun and I definitely wanna try. And last question: Which custom card would you recommend? I am aiming at a Sapphire Nitro+ for the 470Xs (4 or 8gig) at the moment, I heared that XFX is also very good this year. I just want a descent cooler which is capable of OCing. I want a nice balance between price, cooling , performance and noise. (Especially noise. My Powercolor 270x was terrible *_* loud fans + insane coil whining, bad sample I guess. Thanks in advance! And im not a native speaker, so please be nice
  6. Thanks for your anwers, guys! I will stick with 1080p i guess until my monitor dies I heard that the Sapphire Nitro OC 470X is almost equal to a 480X reference card and that the cooler on the Sapphire RX 480 is a bit to weak to cool it properly. My thoughts are: if i go with 8 gigs of vram i'm a little bit more safe for the future and dont have to worry about a vram bottleneck. My games will be ME Catalyst, Witcher 3 and GTAV i guess. Something like that. At the moment I am playing very much R6 Siege aswell, which is not a too hardware demanding title, is it?
  7. Hey guys, I'm here with another question: I want to upgrade my rig for christmas and I dunno if I should go for an Asus GTX 970 OC (used one) or a brand new RX 470 (with 8gigs)) I am afraid of that games will take more VRAM to run in the future even in 1080p (Mirrors Edge Catalyst for example, which I really wanna play btw :D) The price for the GTX 970 is negotiable, so maybe I can get it for ~180€ - 200€. RX 470 Nitro+ OC 8gig costs ~240€ at the moment. What do you guys think? Ah and Shadowplay is also a thing. It would be a nice to have because I always went for AMD cards in the past. Is Raptr comparable to Shadowplay? (Haven't used it yet) Thanks in advance!
  8. Hey there! I am still unsure what SSD to choose. Capacity: 240-256GB. I want to do what the Average Joe does, so gaming ofc, web browsing and some office things. First I wanted to go with the Samsung 750 Evo 250GB but then I heard of the MX200 + MX300. Or maybe should I even spend 15€ more for a 850 Evo? Well, I dunno. Help me, guys. Im a bit confused It's kinda crazy how expensive SSDs are here in Germany. (e.g. a 850 Evo 250gig is ~100€ while it's ~75$ in the US which is ~71€) So, which one do you guys recommend for the best bang for the buck? Thanks! (Sry if my language is not perfect, I'm still learning ;))
  9. Ok, thank you! I will get an SSD then instead of the SSHD. I just want to get the thermal paste to change it in the future, 5€ is not a big deal ^^. And yeah, I'm one of the few users who uses an optical drive in 2016 I have a few older games and sometimes I just want to watch a movie on DVD or something, it's nice to have.
  10. Mhm, ok. I was considering to get even a 250GB SSD (a Samsung 750 Evo for example), but I thought that an SSHD would work fine there and my budget is a bit restricted actually. But back to the topic: Should I get the 6600k or "only" the 6500. I know, OCing doesn't make that difference in gaming but it's a nice to have I guess
  11. Ah sorry, my bad. The GTX 970 is a used one by a friend, thats why. I want to get the SSHD because i want to have more space. And if you wonder why I only have 500gb of HDD, well a bad mistake I have made there a few years ago.
  12. Hey there LTT-community! First: YES, I have read the "How many watts do I need"? topic. Finally I want to upgrade my "slightly" outdated rig (AMD Phenom II X4 925 + R9 270X), so will my PSU (BQ! Straight Power E9 450W) be capable of slight overclocking with the 6600k maybe? Otherwise I will get the 6500. My new rig will look something like this: 1 Seagate Desktop HDD 500GB, SATA 6Gb/s (ST500DM002) 1 Seagate Desktop SSHD 1TB, SATA 6Gb/s (ST1000DX001) 1 Intel Core i5-6600K, 4x 3.50GHz, boxed ohne Kühler (BX80662I56600K) 1 ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 970 OC, STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5, 4GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort (90YV07F0-M0NA00) 1 Corsair Vengeance LPX rot DIMM Kit 8GB, DDR4-2133, CL13-15-15-28 (CMK8GX4M2A2133C13R) 1 ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4 (90-MXGYX0-A0UAYZ) 1 LG Electronics GH24NSD1 schwarz, SATA, bulk (GH24NSD1.AUAA10B) 1 Arctic MX-4, 4g 1 Thermalright Macho 120 Rev. A (100700721) 1 Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 weiß mit Sichtfenster (CC-9011053-WW) Yeah, im sorry it's a German website. Thank you very much and kind regards!
