  1. Hi All, I'm looking at the bellow 3 monitors: Dell U4919DW - $1300 LG 40WP95C-W - $1650 LG 49WL95C - $1000 SAMSUNG G97T - $1200 SAMSUNG CRG9 - $900 My Current PC: Intel i7 9700k RTX 2070 16GB of RAM I will mostly use this for work (programming) and about 1-2 hours of gamming everyday, I don't do competitive gaming, mostly MMO such as Guild Wars 2, FF14 and Diablo 4 coming up. I think picture quality and productivity are more important to me. High refresh rate is not that important, 60Hz is good enough, plus I know my PC isn't able to run higher FPS anyway haha. Please let me know which you think is best? any other suggestion?
  2. i think i know what you are talking about but its small, only 7in.
  3. Hi all, I'm planning to build a DIY "tablet". I play music, so printing and organizing music sheets is a bit too much work for me =]. So i want to build a tablet using a portable touchscreen monitor from amazon with Raspberry Pi or some other platform. Does anyone has experience doing this? I don't want to spend too much on an iPad or other tablet on the market because they are too small for what I need and out of my price range. I want something that is about 16in, the monitor i mentioned on Amazon is about 15.6 in, which is good. I reckon I could do this for $300 or less? Thanks
  4. Any of this build great for Guild Wars 2? I know that game is CPU bound, most people suggest to go for a good CPU rather than a GPU.
  5. Can’t overclock since the CPU is locked.
  6. Hi all, I’m looking to upgrade my current rig. The budget is $1200, Below is what I currently have, what could I keep and what should I Upgrade? CPU: Intel i5-4690 GPU: Radeon R9-280x Mobo: ASUS Z97-A LGA1150 Ram: 8GB DDR3 PSU: Rosewill Capstone 550W plus gold cooler: Corsair h100 storage: 1TB Samsung ssd I have a full tower case so we don’t have to worry about that. I play a lot of Guild Wars 2 and I know that game is heavy on CPU. I’m thinking of getting I7-8700k or I7-9700k, a good mobo and overclock the cpu. Any suggestion for the rest of the build? Can we fit in 16GB ram and a 1070 ti somehow? =]] thank you
  7. I know it probably not a good idea, but I don't want to spend so much money on this and I need something compact and quiet =], don't worry about 1080p streaming anymore, do you know any guide?
  8. Hi guys, I am in need of a NAS. I never set one up before. The reason why I want to go with Raspberry Pi is that it is the only "computer" I have laying around =]]. Parts I have: Raspberry Pi Model B+. 8Gb Micro SD card. 1TB HDD. Do you guys have any guide that shows how to set-up a home server for Raspberry Pi? Which OS should I run on my Raspberry Pi? Ubuntu, Linux, NOOBS, Raspbian??? which one is better and has better NAS support? I could upgrade my SD Card to a higher capacity if needed but prefer to keep it at 8GB since it is what I already had =]], but if I can get better software using different OS then upgrading SD card would not be a problem. Thanks.
  9. Lol sorry for not pointing that out first.
  10. Not upgrading, this is for a friend
  11. cool, the reason i asked is because I have an R9 280X, I think it's pretty good and wondering how well does the 1050Ti and RX 470 compare to it.
  12. and will the i3 be ok under load without after market cpu cooler? is the stock cooler enough?
  13. how is the GTX 1050ti compare to the old R9 280x?
  14. any new thing coming out that I should wait on?
  15. this is my current list so far: case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811553018&ignorebbr=1 HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339&ignorebbr=1 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438016&ignorebbr=1 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233982&ignorebbr=1 MB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128930&ignorebbr=1 cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=2MN-0004-00002&ignorebbr=1 GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125910&ignorebbr=1 total is $518, I could cut down the HDD to $500GB and wait on the XFX RX 470 sell for $10 cheaper than the Gigabyte one when it is instock. What do you think of my current list so far? I was thinking about getting the AMD X4 860k or 880k but im not sure between them and i3 6100, which would be better, im thinking i3 6100 is since they have more review. Will there be any bottle necking between the any of those CPU and the RX 470? and for the Ram, is one 8GB stick ok or should I go with 2 x 4GB? thank you
