  1. Hey there! so I installed a synology 1821+ At work. Added 4 more ram an sad and a 10gb network. through the microtik switch all I get is 40mb/s transfers. does anybody know what to do? you can even hap on and check everything if you want. thanks
  2. WOW! Thanks so much for taking the time! much appreciated.
  3. The cameras are going into a Blackmagic Decklink quad HDMI. i don't think all 4 will be on at the same time. I could imagine 2 at once, but i don't see how all four would ever make sense in my scenario. The solution with the 5700g would save me a ton of money, but i couldnt connect 3 monitors right? thats the least i would need. well 2 would work but with a bit of hassle. and if i could connect 3 monitors, is that system still gonna cut it? thanks for your quick answer.
  4. Budget (including currency): 350€ max for CPU, 1400€ total on build Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly just for Live Calls, Webinars, Streams Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi! I'm wondering if the 10600KF would be sufficient for the capturing 4 cameras (4k) into OBS and then have that 1080p feed for live calls etc. Some store here told me i should aim for something like a ryzen 9 but i feel like thats way overkill. or are they right? rest of the build. Asus tuf gtx 1660 Thank you so much! cheers from Germany!
  5. Hi there! haven't been here in a while. now i feel like i have a bit of an issue. my specs: ryzen 9 3950x rog strix x560-E Gaming rtx 3070 2x32 ddr4 2666 1tb mp600 boot drive and stuff. I feel like it is not as snappy as i would expect it to be in video editing. or rendering as well in some tasks. benchmarks all spit out reasonable numbers. but somehow when everything needs to talk to each other it seems slow to me. or is this machine just not that good anymore? maybe the ram is the problem? oh and i have a blackmagic quad hdmi in card in there. might that be the culprit? thanks a lot and greeting from Germany!
  6. Hey guys! I'm looking for a good vpn. preferably free but i know you get what you pay for. any suggestions other than the obvious ones? Thanks!
  7. Ok so I have two sticks crucial ballistix sport ddr4 2400 2x8 and two avexir core series also DDR4 2400 2x8 the avexirs are not being used. They show up in bios but then it says 19gb reserved memory when I go to task manager. is there a way to fix this? thanks!
  8. yeah i checked out y700 as well. just like the idea of having a capable laptop and little gimmicks like the flip around screen etc... anyway. i'm still doin alright with my setup right now so i'll just wait and see. Thanks a lot!
  9. Why not go all the way and let your phone not have a display at all and just projects the image directly onto your retina. I'd buy that if i was some special agent! oh wait they'd probably just give it to me... like the q guy.... never mind.
  10. oh god... never mind. yeah it only has a dual core.... when did intel start messing with everybody! i7 to me was always 4 cores at least. well thanks guys!
  11. Why is that? do you have suggestions in the same price range that would be better?
  12. Hey there! I wondered what the Linus community thinks about a laptop like the Notebook 7 spin. I would use it for editing on the go mostly. No gaming. so what do you think? Thanks! Oliver
  13. What i'm trying to achieve is to be able to access my stuff (not a lot, i think 4tb or something like that would be enough) on the go and also have pretty fast access to that drive at home from all devices. sick of cables.
