War's review.
Zy's (RocketJumpNinja) review.
Peter, a Nixeus rep, provides beta firmwares on OCN. There are only 2 at the moment.

Reduced smoothing: removed MCU smoothing, only 2 frames of smoothing remain from the SROM (only if <= 2000 CPI, above 2000, it is increased to 32 frames, this is native to all 3360 mice, only Logitech's 3366 has 2 smoothing frames across the entire CPI range).
Also gets rid of the sleep mode that is pointless on wired mice.

Allows switching between 500Hz and 1000Hz by pressing certain button combinations (similar to the LOD and USB polling adjustments on Zowie mice).
Beta firmware is incremental. https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/58q330/nixeus_revel_500hz_polling_rate_beta_firmware/d92f9ht/
Stock firmware link is also in both of those OCN posts and Reddit for reverting.
If you have issues with the stock feet scraping your mousepad, Nixeus have changed their source for mousefeet and existing owners (or new owners of old stock) can get the newer replacement feet with proof of purchase. Post says cutoff date is 30 November 2016. http://www.overclock.net/t/1606035/nixeus-revel-its-here/1000_100#post_25574044
AFAIK, existing Hyper Glides for similar Steel Series mice do NOT fit on the Revel. They are slightly different and will need to be cut to fit. Or you can purchase one of the smaller ones for Logitech mice.
