  1. Im getting a 676 in cinebench with: i7-4790k w/ kraken x61 (25c idle 60c under load) None oc'd. msi gaming 5 mobo 16gb ddr3 2400hz ram gtx 980 sc acx 2.0 evga 850w gold rated psu Whenever i run the test the pc will freeze (black screen) for anything from 5-30 seconds. Then it will recover. I'm thinking this is GPU related? But really makes no sense what so ever, have xperience brown screen crashes before with my gpu and have also struggled OCing the CPU as it crashes on anything over 4.2ghz overclocked with a blue screen. And yes, it also does this in stock settings with turbo boost from time to time. One stage i had it under clocked to 4ghz fixed. Didn't have problems then with blue screen crashes.
  2. A bit miffed tho. Seen people easily hit 5ghz with it :'(
  3. Me thinks that is the correct decision. Feel like any further may trash my cpu
  4. Ok. Update. 1.2v on sa @ 4.7ghz doesnt work nor does it with 1.46 vcore Reset everything on the old 4.6 oc and that stopped working too. Changed the sa to 1.2v and 4.6ghz is back to working. @ 4.7ghz i get a new error CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
  5. so we can come to the agreement the Sa was the problem? yeet
  6. trying 4.7 and getting all the same failures as before. Suggestions on what i should up everything too? Or should i not push any further? bsod code is WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
  7. HOLD FUCK BALLS SHE IS STABLE SHE IS STABLE. NOW FOR 4.7GHZ
  8. Ok. vccse is 2.1v 1.3v vcore 1.1v sa volt unsure on cache voltage. will get bsod code asap
  9. changed the vvcin to 1.95. Will see if that makes a diff, have tried your suggestion with voltage and it still blue screens
  10. You don't think im missing out a value i should be changing? vvcin or an offset of some sort?
  11. Will give it another shoot. As much as want to buy a 1080ti i've had my 980s since they where released. Only just got a new mobo cos one pci lane broke i feel like i should of got a 1080ti WHEN THE 980 CAME OUT. feelsbadman
  12. System Specs: Msi Gaming 5 I7 4790k 4x4 Hyperx Savage ddr3 2400 ram evga gtx 980 sv acx 2.0 (x2 sli) 256 evo 40 ssd barracuda 1 tb kraken x61 280mm radiator evga gold+ 850W I'm only just getting used to the Bios from MSI. And i'm unsure on a few values i should be changing. I feel like either i am getting a specific setting wrong, or i simply dont have enough Watts to do what i want. Current OC that is stable: Overclock is stable @ 60c. CPU - 45 x - Fixed - 1.235 Volts - Core voltage RAM - - XMP 2400hz - 1.65 volts Unstable OC: Always crashes with a blue screen of death. CPU - 46 x - Fixed - 1.235-1.35 V I have used all 0.005 values between that range and had the same crash around the same time using prime95. I really am thinking not enough watts?
