  1. Thanks for all the nice feedback and yes it is solid oak and mahogany I was very lucky and i managed to get some for free!
  2. The inside is kind of a mess but I'll try and take some pictures of the inside. Thanks and yes I inlay-ed the mahogany by hand. Also there is a custom MDF tray with 3D printed motherboard standoffs because the mother board is a BTX standard so it can be replaced with ATX.
  3. Yeah it would be cool to find an old IBM PC and CRT and see if I can keep the monitor working as original with new components.
  4. There I'm thinking of making another one some time in the future so any pics of something like that for inspiration would be cool thanks.
  5. Cheers, yeah it's very stylized its actually based off of a chair design from the 1960s with the legs. But like you pointed out is it more loosely inspired by so not massively obvious, just trying to bring back some design elements and modernize them a little. maybe furniture based PC would have been a better title!
  6. Finished 1960s inspired desktop case, hand made by me! What do you think? I'd love some feedback
  7. You can get single slot Nanos, they do exist, though most of them are aftermarket or water cooled, so you make a fair point.

  9. A higher end option would be a R9 Nano, but obviously that's allot more expensive.
  10. Check this out, its a bit of a biased test toward AMD but it shows the basics, and the RX480 is a faster card. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-AMD-RX-470/3649vs3640
  11. It depends on what matters to you, if you want a better gaming experience purely based on higher settings at good frame rates then go RX470 4gb but also think about what each side offers such as freesync with AMD and Gsync with Nvidia. Also with Nvidia you do get features such as shadow play, so if you want to record your game play then I'd say Nvidia. Hope this helps
  12. The project goes on and we have a power switch wired (soldered directly to daughter board) in to the dell proprietary board! lots of paper work to do but things are going on slowly!
  13. Oldest PC you can build sounds pretty awesome tbh, I'd love to see that!
  14. Yeah its a funny shape because the CPU is mounted at an angle not square with the board.
  15. It's pretty ugly tbh but here it is, not my picture found it on the interet
