gunna say this again ive disabled it entirely pressing shift 5 times in a row does nothing

ive disabled it, first thing ive tried. it does it randomly

how?

So i was playing gta v and suddenly it just switches to the desktop with gta still running in the background, when it does this my keyboard will start playing up and do things like "L" will open up the action centre, "w" will open up ink space and other random stuff. it makes my pc unusable. i cant shut the computer down apart from putting it from the wall (power button dont work when its doing this as non of the start menu buttons work.) it only does this for about 5 mins then stops. ive scanned my pc with malware bytes and nothing has come up, its a fresh install of windows (about 2 weeks old) i dont install anything apart from chrome and a few other things.

well the highest cpu you could really put on that board is a 4790k.(guessing you have a z97 motherboard) upgrading to ryzen would be expensive as you would need to pay for a new motherboard and ram. what GPU do you have and do you use this pc for anything other then gaming and web browsing

it wont post, ive tried everything and have gotten no where. so last night i has having issues like windows crashing when enabling RAID in my BIOS and other thing like my bios version changing every time i booted to the bios. this morning it kept power cycling and didnt once boot. i had windows working on it about an hour ago and now it keeps power cycling again and doing nothing is happening now. The fans spin up and thats it. i dont even get a post screen or beeps. i have tried clearing the CMOS and have taken the battery out the board, leaving it for an hour to drain the capacitors and installed a brand new battery and it does not do anything. (i should of said non posting in my original post)

550w evga GS psu

so my board juat died on my system. specs 4690k 8gb ram gigabyte z97x gaming 5 (dead board) gtx1070 240gb ssd + 2 1tb hdd in RAID 0 550w evga GS psu is it worth replacing the board. i cant really find any tho unless there second hand or from some dodgy amazon/ebay seller. if i was to get a new system i would keep the PSU, drives, case and GPU but it would cost about £450 for a new system. i could sell the old CPU ram and disk drive for about 150 MAX and would knock my total down to 300. what should i do???

dban has fixed the drive problem. they now show in windows disk management as 2 separate drive that are 1tb. i think the problems with my motherboard or my BIOS. one minuet my bios says the drives are in RAID and the next it says there not. and one minuet it says im running BIOS F6 and the next is says im running f7 and it keeps doing it

so i tried with each drive and even with only one of the drives being plugged in at a time both the drives said they were 1.8TB as for now im running DBAN on the drives

My bios/motherboard has been playing up for the past 24 hours. i have had it not post, and all sorts of things. basically deleted my RAID in my bios and when disabled RAID in the bios. after that i wiped the drives in a different PC as windows was not installed on my SSD. i installed windows onto my ssd and it works fine. i then plugged in my two 1tb drives and my bios says there not in RAID but in windows it showing two drives one of them being my SSD and the other being 1.8tb (witch is my two harddrives). so to sum it up windows is saying my drives are in RAID even know RAID is disabled in my BIOS and the drives have been wiped
