I was promised 3 years on site, that ends in 2020. Here's what they say on their website: now I tried everywhere on their website to figure out what could be the possible max time to repair, was unsuccessful. when I contacted them first time, they said I will receive an email shortly telling when will I get the part and then in the next 2-5 days a tech guy will come and replace the faulty part. yesterday when I called again to figure out whats happening? they told that the part are not available for unknown time, I wanted to talk to manager, was told it is not a big enough issue to pass the call to the manager!!! I was very clear that this is affecting my job, and I might loose it, so either sort it out or send a replacement for time being once myu unit is repaired I am happy to return the replacement back to lenovo. they said no possible. I said, ok take you laptop back and refund me!!! they said not possible. I kept insisting to talk to the manager, was told there is no one in-charge available. I asked to take my number and have someone call back, so far nothing. Guy said I should have purchased a priority warranty!?!?!?! whats that? never herd before ... plus where to get that? the image above is taken from their website when purchasing the unit!!! I am in the UK.

Hi, I have a t470 for an year now. I have been using it almost for any activity throughout my university. Some programming a very little photo or video edit and so on. Now recently my webcam has started causing some issues. The laptop is still within on site repair warranty. I contacted lolenovo support and they ran through some troubleshoot and had me install and reinstall drivers and so on...it did not help. Guy said he will send the parts rewired to me and then whiting 2-5 working days an engineer will come to your house and fix it. Everything was good up until now (10days later) when I still hadn't received any email from Lenovo saying when will I get my parts. I called them only to find out that I need to wait for unknown time because I did not purchased the priority warranty. I wanted to talk to someone superior like a manager but was not allowed. Guy said he can't pass on... Now it is not something that big but I do use the camera for calls and stuff. Yes I can get a cheap webcam for the time being but that's not the point anymore.... I paid more then a grand for the laptop not so that it becomes unfunctiinak in certain situations... Lenovo think support won't let me talk to manager, they won't send me a replacement... They won't do or say anything else then wait for unknown time.... Any suggestion what should I do .... Thanks in advance.

it was a custom loop ... EK block leaked ... but they did not want to take responsibility.

it gives no signal ... I ll try to de-solder the entire PCIe slot end of the day, its kinda dead already ... what could go wrong!

1080 strix (GPU was not faulty though) LONG STORY SHORT ... liquid cooled, leaked ... .

My Formula VIII burned along with GPU. the contact pins on GPU are gone, so it might be beyond repairing, the motherboard was damaged (PCIe slot). I am just wondering is there any solution to it, like if somehow that PCIe could be isolated, so that the rest of the board could work, or somehow it could be repair even without that PCIe, I am already assuming that its dead, but just giving a shot ... (i dont understand much of electronics) Any advice is appreciated.

as I said it was power throttling, I did push up the curve a bit and now I am able to run 2152 stable. Thanks for everyone's help.

Well, I ve been using asus gpu tweak, but it does not allow me to show the details on screen I game, so I opted to use msi, as I had used it before and it shows the frequencies above 2 GHz so I will assure you that other utilities work just fine. i guess it has to do with asus card rather than msi utility. may be I am missing something. ...

Hey, I have an asus 1080 strix water cooled. It is runing at 62 max under max loads, and idling on 20ish. The problem is when I overclok it I can achieve 2127Mhz easily and stable for some time, than It starts throttling, and goes down to 2050 something. I have been checking the temps in game, they never reached even 63. I think it is power throttling, I have set the core voltage to 100%, power limit 120% and so. as you see in the picture below. I cannot keep it running on 2.1Ghz, Any help is appreciated.

Hi, Well last night I was building my high end rig with 2 1080,s an asus formula viii, an i7 6700k and such. I put everything together check the fittings very carefully, non of them was leaking. I put it in the case and run it, I have been checking every fitting for the leak but everything was fine than all of sudden there was smoke everywhere and the pc shutdown, I dismount everything and found out that the water block of my 2nd gpu was leaking not from fittings not from anywhere where the water was supposed to be, but the liquid wen from the circular area to the bottom end and dropped directly into the PCI slot which caused the burning. I might be stupid enough to run the whole system but the fault was not from my hand. The block itself was not in good condition. Now I have burned my gpu, motherboard and PSU not sure about the cpu I just hope its safe. Now I won't have any sort of warrant from asus as the gpu was dissembled to mount the water block neither in case of mobo cause it was because of water, I might by lucky enough to get a replacement from corsair as it was not the case that the liquid went into it. But shall I claim to EK because of there faulty product?
