  1. Hi, so I am planning to buy a Raspberry Pi 3 very soon and I am wondering what I could do with it for a easy beginner project. I've looked around online what you can do with it and I don't really see how some things are that practical for my use. Does anyone know any cool and easy project that I would be able to make around the house and actually be able to use it? Or I'm just looking for something easy to do as a beginner which I will actually find a use for. Anything would work for me.
  2. Hi, so I am using a Apple MacbookPro and I got inspired by the Macro-Key video to do something like that when I'm pretending to do work. I know that you might think, "How about you just do the work and then play video games", but that's not my point. So the plan is to be playing CSGO and then if someone walks in I press a hotkey and it opens a Chrome Tab to a certain link and turn down the fan speed, since if you didn't know, at least for me, my Mac gets EXTREMELY LOUD when gaming. So I installed an app called "Keyboard Maestro" and I figured everything out with the opening a Chrome Tab, but I don't know how I would turn down the fan speed. There is an option of running an AppleScript command, which seems pretty good, but I'm not sure what that command be and I can't find anything only. And there is no Terminal command option, which is why I am writing this. If you know what command turns down the speed, or if you could recommend another command in this app or if you know something that can do what I want, like another app, that would also be very useful. Thank you.
  3. Well it says that if one breaks, the circuit keeps going, on the box.
  4. Ok, so I want to put a set of christmas lights outside of my window. The problem is that they have no room without a lightbulb in them, with just the wire. I can sort of close the window, its a sliding one, but there is still a small hole that I want to either make smaller or completely get rid of. The ideal solution would be to get rid of the few lights that are getting in the way. My only concern is if I can leave them open, or cover them with something. Not sure if just not having a bulb at all would be a problem. Thanks
  5. Hi, I am planning on building a PC with the Intel Core i7 6800K and the Asus X99 Deluxe II motherboard. I want to overclock the CPU, but I don't know what speed I should go for. Is there anyone who has a 6800K and has overclocked it? If so, can you tell me to what speed you did overclock it to or what you would recommend. I've seen people overclock it to 4.0 GHz and 4.4 GHz but I'm not sure what I should do.
  6. I think I'm just gonna go with 800 mm, which is the starter kit, because I think that should be enough. Thanks!
  7. So what length would you recommend?
  8. Hi, I want am going to build a computer in the Phanteks Eclipse p400S and want to get the Phanteks LED strips that can connect to the case since it has strips on the front of the case. I was wondering, how much LED strip do I need just to cover the sides, top and bottom of the case?
  9. Do you think I could download it off the website of ASUS? Or would it be Intel?
  10. Thanks, for the reply, so I should try to find a board that is compatible out of the box with the CPU?
  11. Hi, I am planning to do my first PC build and I am using PCPartPicker.com to choose most of my hardware. I went with the Asus X99 Deluxe II Motherboard and the Intel Core i7 6800K, which I chose because I want to mostly game, but also for productivity. PCPartPicker is saying that my Motherboard may need a BIOS update, prior to using a Broadwell-E CPU. How would that be done? This is still my first build and I don't REALLY know what that means.
