  1. So I bought a DP to DVI adapter so I can use 3 monitors Now the other two monitors I had working are blank and are not recognized correctly. Instead of "Apple Cinema Display" its "Digital Display". I know that the two other monitors work considering they were the only two that did before I got the adapter. It might also be due to the recent mobo/cpu/ram change I did. Kept the same GPu though. mobo: MSI z170A SLI PLUS GPU: EVGA 1060 SC 6GB
  2. @SCGazelle I dont know a whole lot either If it helps heres the device manager
  3. I did, the second display from the 1060 is back up, 9800GT still out for the count Should have both the same drivers, theyre both Nvidia cards. thanks for the compliment too
  4. @Billy_Mays I got a notification from Win 10 a minute ago saying "restart to restore full display functionality". Have a feeling this might do the trick. Gonna wait for GeForce Experience to get done updating things before I restart though
  5. @Billy_Mays If you're talking overall I do have a good enough power supply to run it, even with the additional GPU
  6. So I have three DVI displays, and I had one HDMI to DVI adapter. So I was thinking, because I dont have enough adapters on my 1060, Ill use an old 9800GT to get more DVI ports, made a post here to verify that that would indeed work, and proceeded to install the card. At first, the two displays connected to the 1060 worked, but the one connected to the 9800GT didnt I restarted my computer after going into device manager where it said the 9800GT wasnt working correctly The second monitor no longer works and it kicked down my resolution on my main monitor So I up my res and install some drivers and restart again, still no display on my second 1060 monitor or the monitor on the 9800GT. Anything I can try besides updating the drivers again that might get this to work?
  7. Device manager detects the 9800GT. Think it reccomended restarting to fix any issue with it, doing this now
  8. It doesnt detect it. Do you have an idea of a third party program I could use? I know my dad used to use different ports in pci lanes with the 9800 GT as his main back in the early 2000s when he did stocks
  9. @googleplex2010 No I dont have it in SLI 1060 cant do sli amyways Got the two monitors to show up connected to my 1060 But the monitor connected to my 9800GT is blank and also not detected
  10. @googleplex2010 @pyrojoe34 I dont have money or a way to get either of those I booted it up with the second gpu No display on any of the three monitors
  11. So I currently use a 1060 which has only 1 DVI port, and I have 3 DVI monitors. If I install my old 9800 GT which has more DVI ports can I use those connections while still using the 1060 ad my main gpu?
