  1. I got the Enthoo Evolv X for Christmas and I've started migrating my system over to it. In my previous build, which was in the Enthoo Evolv ATX, I used the NZXT Hue+ (1st edition) for RGB. I noticed that the Evolv X use 3-pin headers for the integrated RGB. Is there a way to connect the 3-pin to the Hue+, or do I have to buy the new Hue 2? My MB is an Asus Maximus Hero VIII, which doesn't have a dedicated RGB header of any sort. (doesn't have a 3.1 header either so the USB C in the front panel is a waste, feelsbadman)
  2. Yeah that worked, but only if I go to Recording > Select the Line In > Enable "Listen to this Device". However, this introduces a horrible static noise. I've tried running different cables from the Switch to the port, but it didn't do anything.
  3. So I've recently moved my Switch dock to my desk and I want to hear the games I'm playing. My monitor doesn't have speakers, and I'd rather not switch headphones all day since I often play my Switch while waiting for something in a PC game. So my question is: Is it possible to route the audio from my Switch through my PC so I can hear the Switch audio in my PC-headphones? I'm outputting my PC audio to a Fiio Alpen 2 thorugh USB. I do not have a dedicated soundcard, my MB is a Maximus Hero VIII.
  4. It's the one which came with the case. I have the three vardar fans connected. It used to work with the stock fans, I could controll the speed through AI Suite, but it seems like I can't when I am using the vardar fans. EDIT: Fixed it. One of the fans had to be connected to a specific connector on the hub.
  5. Alright, thanks! Now I have a new problem though, I can't control my rad's fans. I have 3x vardar fans plugged into the pwm-hub, and the hub plugged into the CPU_Fan header, but it says that the speed is N/A in the BIOS and AI Suite. Is there something I'm doing wrong? If not, what would be the optimal way to hook up my fans? I have 3x 120 vardar on my rad and 3x 140 phanteks stock fans for case fans.
  6. Just finished setting up my first loop and I am getting the error for "Low CPU fan speed" on my HERO VIII. I am using the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX and I have tried plugging the fan-hub in both the CPU and CPU-OPT header with no results. I also tried setting the CPU Fan speed to Ignore in the BIOS, but that doesn't work either. What do I do, senpais? EDIT: I fixed it, I'm just dumb. I set the CPU fan speed to Ignore under the Q-Fan Controller, not under Monitor. It's all good now.
  7. Yeah, I goofed and didnt get one of the ram sticks properly in place. It POSTs now, thanks for answers guise
  8. My aunt's HDD died and I have installed a new one. The PC doesn't POST and I assume this is because the HDD is blank and I have to install windows on it. How do I go about this? I have an external SATA reader I can hook up to this PC if necessary. It's a HP Elitebook 8760w.
  9. Currently talking to a guy who's selling his 990's for 120$. Now I gotta decide whether to get a modmic or a Snowball ice. They're both the same price, but the ice seem to have better quality. I'm not doing any sort of voice/sound work, so having a desktop mic might be too much hassle just for Skype.
  10. I watched a few videos yesterday about open headphones, and a lot of people said they get more spacial awareness with open w/o surround than with closed w/ surround. I know they leak a bit in and out, but I live in a quite place by myself, and my PC is whisper quiet, even under load. I read about the V-shape and thought it would suit me since I'm a "basshead". If the treble seems too much, is it possible to use an EQ to turn it down a bit?
  11. Well, that's a relief. Will it be able to produce 7.1 with software like the Razer one? If not, can I just use the "soundcard" from my Cloud 2?
  12. I'm about to dip my toe in the wild west that is the audiophile world. I currently have a pair of Cloud 2s and I'm looking to upgrade. I've never had a pair of open headphones before, and the concept of soundstage interests me, but I've also read that it sacrifices bass. I will be using the headphones for gaming and music; I listen to metal and "heavy" electronic music. Comfort is important since I play my video games for long stretches. I'm currently looking at the V-moda crossfade m-100 (If I can get it at a discount), the Beyerdynamics Custom One Plus and DT990 (No idea which version though). Feel free to opt in with other suggestions. Will I need one of these "amps" or "dacs" to drive the headphones on my HERO VIII? Virtual surround would be nice. Also, what are cans?
