  1. Hmm,ok,my bad,im not a laptop guy ahaha, but, back to my question,is amazon a place where i should get the laptops from?and the issues,is it common?will the price be the same as the one they stated on the website? Thanks for the info tho.
  2. hmmm,i see,but if i were to order from amazon, will the issue be common?and is the price stated the actual price?i would prefer buying from well know companies such as msi, acer, asus even tho the website you gave me looks good, but ive had an eye for a certain laptop.
  3. Hey guys,I have a question. So,i've recently been browsing for a gaming laptop as its compulsory to get one recently for my school related work but at the same time is able to handle triple a titles, sooo,i went to Lazada to look up for one with a price range of 1.4k to around 1.7k.To be honest,im looking for a laptop with a Gtx 1060 in it but as for the price, most of them cost around 1.8k - 2k plus,so,after almost giving up and almost just wanting to go with the gtx 1050ti,i went to amazon just to look around as from what i know, they do shipping to Singapore so why not give it a look. The first thing i came across on Amazon was the Acer predator Helios 300 Gaming laptop which cost $1013 (I dont not know if its in sgd or usd) and plus another $100 with shipping to Singapore and it comes with a gtx 1060 with 16gb of ram,tbh my jaw dropped, even if i convert the $1013 to sgd,it will cost around 1.3k,so,i decided to type in the name of the laptop in lazada and the price that came up was $2.4k,ummm so im confused,is there a hidden price in amazon or something or just that lazada is charging all the gaming laptops at a ridiculous price, and if so,where and what is a good website for me to get a laptop.
  4. Auh ok,So,just a quick question, comparing the I3 to the ryzen 3,which is much better in price per performance?Like if i were to go over to intel, would i lose anything? And also, how do i know like which PSU is safe, non risky, like what do i look out for when choosing one?Last question, for the windows 10 os,i've seen people not recommending me to buy a new OS and i so called could get a cheaper one?Is that true and is it safe?If so,where could i get one?
  5. Hey guys,I'm back with another post, this time,it's for a friend of mine. I'm from Singapore and every Pc components would be listed based on the shop that i went to build my First gaming pc which is from PCTHEMES. Here are the price list : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jkxeho7zgvpsnk4/AABkZc_oaTTSMW6e5GaT0_sXa?dl=0&preview=PCTPRICELIST+02.12.17.pdf (Umm i still do not know if outside links are allowed, just tell me and ill remove it if its not) So,I've been given 3 fixed budget($800,$900 AND $1000) BUT ,i'll only be listing two of them which is the $800 and $900. My aim (or more like my friend's aim) is to be able to run CSGO in high settings (which i know its possible cause even a potato could run it at high settings) ,Overwatch in Epic?...maybe? and some other games like Pubg,Gta V,Assassin's Creed origins and some other Triple A titles on some decent settings. Its currently holidays here in Singapore for me and him,and his Current laptop is umm, well,I really don't know a nice way to put it so i'm just gonna say it is SHIT,I mean he can't even run CSGO on low settings with 60 fps or more and since its the holidays,it gives us a chance to find some part time job to earn some money so that he could finally run some decent game and he is also a good friend of mine so I'll be adding a few hundred Dollars which is why there is 3 budget price (His original budget is $500 which i know is almost impossible to get decent components in my country) So pretty much there is TWO major things that i want in this build Good enough components to run most titles with decent graphics Put a smile on my friend's face Get all of this parts by the end of this YEAR! Lets get started. First Build : $800 budget PC Build(OS NOT INCLUDED) CPU and MOBO : Ryzen 3 1300x + Asrock AB350M = $312 GPU : GALAX GTX 1050 2GB O.C = $179 PSU : C.M LITE 400W 80% efficiency = $59 Case : Techware edge TG = $75 Ram : KINGSTON 2133MHZ CL15 4gb x 2 = $120 HDD : TOSHIBA 500GB 7200RPM 2YRS = $56 Total Price = $801 (Over budget by $1 but its nothing) Second Build : $900 budget PC Build(OS NOT INCLUDED) CPU and MOBO : Ryzen 3 1300x + ASUS PRIME B350M-A = $336 GPU : MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GB L.P TWIN FAN = $239 PSU : C.M LITE 400W 80% efficiency = $59 RAM : KINGSTON 2133MHZ CL15 4gb x 2 = $120 HDD : WESTERN.D 1TB BLUE 64MB SATA3 = $70 CASE : Techware edge TG = $75 Total Price = $899 Alright, thats the build that i came up with,I would love for you guys to help me with this few things! Could i make this any cheaper without sacrificing any fps Is there any unnecessary components? Is the PSU good enough? Will this run crysis? Alright, thats all, thanks!!!
  6. i found this build for only 390 sgd,is it worth? Processor: i3-4160 3.60GHz Ram: 8GB DDR3 Gpu: Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti 4GB Storage: 320GB Casing: Nanotron T1x Window Motherboard: Asrock H81m Psu: FSP 450W 80+ Wi-Fi: ASUS PCE-N15 OS: Windows 10 Pro
  7. Umm ok,i didnt expect that, wow,i expect this to cost around 500 or more,is this what some of those hosting servers are using?if its this way then ill guess the build will be earlier.thanks,so to sums things up,server doesnt require gpu, components to focus on is cpu and ram right? What os?Windows 10 or windows server?
  8. Ok,i didnt expect running a server would just require normal pc components that arnt even that powerful,i expected servers to cost more since it will be running 24/7,so with those parts,i could like run those server 24/7?with like tons of players connected on it?I could like run 2 server at once right?and also, will it be worth?or is it better to buy a hosting service?
  9. wow, thanks, that means i dont really need server grade stuff to really run a server where people could connect around the world, even for intense games like rust then,so pretty much i could just spend less then 500 sgd and buy an old pc to run my server on,is that it? So to say whatever i read about servers are mostly unnecessary then,but,1 more question,to run this dedicated server, what component is mainly important, for example,a gaming pc is mostly the gpu, then for a server?
  10. Wow,i didnt know that will be enough, but if there are multiple players connected, wont the server lagged out or like be slowed down or something,i mean its multiple people connecting.
  11. In-terms of running a Dedicated server,I'm already on it,so far ive run a CS-GO,Gmod and currently,a rust server.Well currently i do not have any extra old pc,so,if i were to build one,how much would it cost? Btw,in case people forgot about me,im a Singaporean.
  12. Hey,I'm back again, with another build,my last build was a success thanks to the people in this forum (Credit yourself please XD) and it only took less then an hour for my first time. This time,Instead of a gaming pc,I would like to build a server to host a dedicated server myself instead of paying for someone to host it. But first,i got a few question. 1)This server, could i run it 24/7? 2)If i were to run the server 24/7,wont the parts be damaged? 3)Some say a server is just the same as a normal pc,just use a pc that i dont use anymore,is that true? 4)Does a server cost over a thousand dollars? 5)is 10gb Network really needed? 6)Does the server use windows 10 or a windows server 2016 7)If it were to use windows server 2016,whats the difference between a normal windows that and that windows server 2016. My aim is to be able to host a CSGO,Gmod or a rust server to atleast 50 people and i want it to be cheap yet is proper enough to run without any problems, hope you guys are able to help me like you guys did last build.
  13. Should be yes It does have 3 pins,Theres a chance its because of my house wiring or the psu Standoffs?Well i just searched it up on google, hmm how does it effect my pc?
  14. What do you mean by that?if what youre saying is that weather my pc is plugged into a wall socket then yes.
