I have a new build I am working on collecting all the parts for currently. It has a Ryzen 5 3600x and 16 gig of 3000mhz memory I have been looking at the RX 5700 XT because the price to performance is pretty good for that price range. However I am hoping to have this system for a while without having to change it up to much ( more ram would be first then maybe upgrading the cpu in a couple years). My main question is: Should I get the 5700 XT or wait a few months and get one of the RXT cards? What are the pros and cons of both in terms of price to performance and software? EDIT: I will probably only have the GPU for around 3 years

Okay good to know. The bi of research I did said it didn't affect it all that much. Are there any cheaper ones you would suggest though. Again he wants to spend as little as possible.

It was a laptop drive. Also, what is the difference between x and non x? Is it just like with intel's K processors.
