  1. I did not know that... Until then I may just get a 580 or throw in an old 460 just to get me by then.
  2. And why the RTX? I do little to no streaming so that will not effect me.
  3. I have a new build I am working on collecting all the parts for currently. It has a Ryzen 5 3600x and 16 gig of 3000mhz memory I have been looking at the RX 5700 XT because the price to performance is pretty good for that price range. However I am hoping to have this system for a while without having to change it up to much ( more ram would be first then maybe upgrading the cpu in a couple years). My main question is: Should I get the 5700 XT or wait a few months and get one of the RXT cards? What are the pros and cons of both in terms of price to performance and software? EDIT: I will probably only have the GPU for around 3 years
  4. for the same exact ram in a single kit was actually about $3 more
  5. I need a 4k editing computer under 1K. This is a reupload of sorts with a new updated build. 7. I fully understand. If this was my personal pc it would be closer to $2000
  8. Okay good to know. The bi of research I did said it didn't affect it all that much. Are there any cheaper ones you would suggest though. Again he wants to spend as little as possible.
  9. And how much would the gpu affect the performance for video editing?
  10. It was a laptop drive. Also, what is the difference between x and non x? Is it just like with intel's K processors.
  11. His starting budget is $1000 and I would like to keep it as close to that as possible. How does this look? He wants a system for 4k video editing. 12. Ill offer but he seems to know what he is doing when it comes to software. He has a pc from BestBuy that he uses for editing but he wants an upgrade. so you're saying if I go to Canada next year... well it is only a 3 hr drive
  13. Yeah, I am about 3 years to young for that and I don't think it would look good if my first customer went to jail...
