  1. Hi, I've seen some good and bad reviews for both boards from what I understand so far is that the EVGA is a solid and reliable board however misses some of the features in the Asus. Also some people seem to be having an issue fitting a video card into the primary PCI-E slot as the slot is very close the I/O plate. The Asus has a lot of positive reviews in terms of features and overclocking ease however there is more than a few reviews stating that there boards died after a short period of time and the Asus RMA procedure was hell. Some people even had DOA Ram slots which just by looking at the packaging of the two boards EVGA seems to put a lot more effort into protecting there boards. At this point in time I'm leaning towards the EVGA however I am curious to see what others have to say. Especially any first hand experiences! I'm (perhaps) planning on a I5 6600k build with a EVGA 1070 FTW. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the help just ordered my 1070 I think I will go the way of the I7 soon enough let some funds trickle back into my account first Went with the 1070 as it will give me room to expand and hopefully prolong the life of the machine. Will let you all know how I go when I get it.
  3. Thanks for the Reply and the Information! Definitely Worth looking into although I did a AMD/Radeon Build recently and I didn't really like the products nothing too much wrong with them or anything just didn't get the same premium feeling as Intel/Nvidia and drivers for the Radeon were a headache. I try not to get into the whole fanboy scenario but based on that experience I prefer my Intel/Nvidia. Is the I7 really worth it for just a gaming machine? I know WoW is pretty CPU dependent not too sure about Star Citizen or other titles. As for the case that is the case im using currently only in black/blue I just thought the white would go well with this build, help give that new clean build feel.
  4. Whoops was meant to remove that as I already have a couple of SSD's. Thanks for the Info though!
  5. Well this is all good food for thought I can see the value in keeping the 2500k for a bit longer however I'm not sure how long my current mobo is going to hold out being an 1155 CPU I cant just get a newer 1151 Mobo without upgrading the CPU. How noticeable is the DDR3 to DDR4 jump if anything? Decisions... Decisions....
  6. Hmmm might be worthwhile waiting for Kaby as im sure skylake's prices will drop with its release. New GPU now might hold off the itch for a little while at least....
  7. Yeah Im thinking the EVGA 1070 FTW. I am attached to my 2500k it has been good to me however the mobo is on its way out so I figured I may as well go all out. Kaby still on course for late 2016?
