  1. For the past 4 years our internet company replaced the fiber optic line to our house 8 times in the last 4 years. The issue is something is chewing the cable, They have put the cabling underground and still got chewed. The issue is we are surrounded by woods/trees. I'm wondering if there is something I can coat the cable in to deter rodents. They have on 3 occasions denied to replace it and offer us service. Sadly they are the only internet company that services our area. The Fiber Optic cable underground was in a half inch Pvc pipe.
  2. I'm also thinking about price to. Ik the am3 platform is sh!t but the cpus Don't really hold much of a value.
  3. That would be a good idea. But I'm looking at long term use. Ik the am3 platform isn't great but it has multiple CPUs using the socket so I'm looking at upgrade ability.
  4. Hello, I'm looking to build this family that has low income a computer as I overheard them talking to a best buy employee saying if they sell any computers for under 50$ and the mother said that its more for her young son that wants to play educational games and for the family to use it for web browsing. I walked up to the mother and said I can possibly get your family a computer. She mentioned her budget was 50$ I've decided to pitch in another 50$ to get any luck finding used parts. Im now on the hunt for a desktop I can build for them. The specs I'm thinking are Fx 4300 (used 15-30$) Some am3+ motherboard (used 30$) 4gb ddr3 2x2gb (used 10$) 300w psu if they decide to slowly upgrade in the future (I'm providing) 500gb HDD (i am providing from a old build) For the avg person on board graphics are probably ok but for a older motherboard that has ati 3000 graphics, I really want to step it up with a deticated gpu (used) that's under 25$ for some extra power. If you have any recommendations please post below.
  5. I'm looking for a decent Gaming laptop for under 850$ for college and moderate gaming, the programs I'll be using are Microsoft office, chrome, YouTube, blender, Photoshop. The games I will playing will be gtav, fortnite, battlefield games, call of duty games, csgo. I'm not looking for the best battery life but looking for a decent battery life Don't really care what process at Lea it will get the job done, I don't care what the weight is just don't want anything over 6lbs, atleast 8gb of ddr3 or ddr4 ram, I don't really care about the storage space as long as it's upgradeable, don't really care what gpu as long as I get at least 60fps or less in AA to AAA titles. It does not need to have the best keyboard/mouse and but at least a 1080p he display and it doesn't need to have a rgb keyboard or any gamer Aesthetics.
