I see, I might end up going for it depending on what other people say. Thanks a lot.

I do agree, the one he has has that goofy yellow stripe on the back but I might paint it over silver or black

Regarding their coolers, I have a Fractal Design Define Nano S. I'm a bit worried that the cooler might choke since it's going to be obstructed by the PSU. Any thoughts if it'll hold up? I don't plan on overclocking this card at all BTW.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with Zotac graphics cards in the past or is currently using one. I've always seen Zotac as the company that is always a hit or miss with their cards. Reason being that I've heard some people say good and bad things about them. However I do know companies can turn things around. A friend of mine is offering me to sell me his Zotac Amp Edition 1080 for $350. Before hitting the trigger I want to know people's thoughts and experience with Zotac cards recently. Thanks.

Why is RAM in general so expensive?
Skybound replied to Skybound's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Well, we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully we see some price drops soon. Maybe if not enough people buy memory, more companies would be compelled to lower their prices in order to stay competitive. -

So it would be safe to assume then that it might take some time before we see prices to go down then? -
I've been having my eyes set on a specific kit of ram for a while as I will be upgrading from DDR3 to DDR4 but what I just can't explain to myself is why it is so expensive at the moment. Does it have to do anything with the launch of Ryzen and the fact that AMDs old CPUs only used DDR3 and now use DDR4 and now a bunch of people are upgrading to it? I mean if you look at the graphs on PPP they show that they've been having their price increase over time. A couple of weeks ago you would be able to get a kit of 16GB for around $85-$95. Now they are north of $130 (or at least the kit I want) at the time of making this post.

Yes actually. It turns out that the motherboard and CPU had some bent pins. I ended up returning both and now I'm up and running as I should be.
-
OK thanks again I'll keep you posted!
-
No I did put thermal paste lol. And there is a small green light on my motherboard so it is receiving power I think.
-
I did it through a USB drive
-
No I can't. Like I said it was on and it read all my gear properly. It's just that all of a sudden it turned off and now it won't even try to start.
-
Ok I tried both of your suggestions and still nothing. No codes or nothing is being said. Like I said everything is correctly connected and there's even a light on my motherboard showing that it is receiving power. It's just that it won't turn on when I press the power button.

I just finished putting my build together and was in the process of updating windows after I installed of fresh copy of it when all of a sudden it shuts off on me. I tried turning it on again and it turned on for about 3 seconds before shutting down again. Now it won't try to start anymore. Any help or suggestions please ?
