  1. I'm still pretty new in the custom PC world, when new the next generation GPU's come out do the last gen drop right away? I would hate to spend $600 on a RX 5700XT and then 3 months from now when the next one comes out it drops 300 bucks! haha Thanks!!
  2. - Ryzen 7 2700 - ASRock B450 - G-Skill 16GB RAM (DDR 4-3000) - M.2 SSD (500GB) - 650W 80 Plus Gold power supply - Stock Ryzen fan but I bout extra case fans
  3. Hi there!! I have a couple questions that I would love to hear peoples suggestions/opinions on. I'm currently running a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 and I am looking to upgrade it in order to play Microsoft's new flight sim game on higher settings. I've been looking at the RTX 2060 Super (CDN$ 609.99) and a normal RTX 2070 (CDN$ 587.99). They seem like they would give me quite the boost in FPS but I've also seen the RX 5700 XT (CDN$ 559.56). Would anyone happen to know if either are better? Also, is there much of a difference between brands of GPUs (Gigabyte/MSI/Sapphire/ etc.)? I appreciate all the help I can get!! Thanks J.
  4. That would make sense they probably make a crap ton of money just in Xbox live memberships alone and also the games pass thing too! Nope! I'm taking your word blindly!!!! haha that's what people on the interwebs do didn't you hear!! hahaha
  5. Wow even more info I've learned today! Thanks man!! I really appreciate it! I've always been a tech nerd but more so on the game console side (10 years working for EB Games will do that to a man haha) and not to the PC side! So I'll take all the teaching I can get from you guys!
  6. Thanks a bunch man! That really makes me worry a lot less haha. Like I said before, I assumed Newegg is pretty cool because they've been around a while. Let's just hope everything works! I'm already returning my Window 10 USB Key becasue I now learned that sometimes Microsoft will let you transfer your license from your old computer to your new one. (My current PC is just an old crappy cheap pre-built one from 2012. So I'm in desperate need of an upgrade lol)
  7. Thanks a ton for that info! I really appreciate it! Its my fault for not looking into it more. Unfortunately, I already bought the intel SSD haha. But it still is all sealed up so I assume it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to return it, if need be lol
  8. So it's not that the drive is "useless" but I should maybe not use it to put my operating system on?
  9. Thanks! PC building can be quite daunting for us Noobs haha so many different options.
  10. Yeah the memory was the thing that got me second guessing the whole list. But thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
  11. Okay cool. Thanks for the help, pretty new to all this so I'm a little worried I'm going to mess something up haha.
  12. Haha I will, but I'm waiting on more of my parts to arrive until I can slap everything together. Just always nervous about returning things that I bought online, but I have a feeling Newegg is probably pretty cool with returns???? haha If need be. lol
  13. I'm mainly worried because I already bought the RAM haha. Have yet to open it or anything but just wanted to check before opening it up lol

  15. I'm in the process of getting parts for my first ever PC build and I was just wondering if I messed up and bought the wrong RAM. I bought two sticks of G.Skill Aegis DDR4 3000 (F4-3000C16D-16GISB) 8GB each. Will that work with my ASRock B450 Pro 4 motherboard?? I ask becasue on the RAM it says "Intel XMP 2.0 ready" and I've been seeing some people say, yeah it works and others say no. Thank you JW
