    Asus support shows that G4930 is compatible with Z390-P but not with Strix Z390-F. Is it real or just mistake in the compatibility list? Intel ark shows that it should be compatible.

    Here in Norway 3090 is more than double price of 3080 3080 = 8000kr = 896$ 3090 = 17000kr = 1905$ For customs designs like Asus Strix add 224$ Right now ZOTAC is only one who has Nvidia(Norway) price 8000kr and 17000kr Pretty sure there will be 20gb version. But at the same time 10gb would be enough if I understand nvidia memory compression right.

    Those reasons are why I'm thinking nvidia didn't really show anything about 3090 performance. I'm in situation where I could afford it but as I'm thinking more and more I am starting to realize that it would be too stupid even for me

    Am I'm only one who thinks that 3090 won't be huge improvement over 3080 except VRAM? Limited information from Nvidia doesn't look promising. And looking at various benchmarks and comparing them to percentage gains that nvidia told us. It looks like 3080 will be 40-50% faster than 2080ti and 3090 maybe 50-60% I now that this isn't best or smartest method but we don't have much.. I think there is two options why. 1. 3090 is like Titan over xx80ti class gpu while double of price. 2. 3090 will be mic drop moment for everyone but they just don't want to tell immediately And one more question.. Is the 3090 full GA102 die?

    I know about load on FAH servers. It just frustrating because it worked for two weeks fine at worst 1-2 WU's in day but now nothing last 4-5 days. And restarting doesn't help.

    Can't get any WU's for GPU last couple days. CPU is fine, but GPU nothing. Before it was fine, but now nothing.     Yeah, it looked more like a software problem than anything else. Switched to Unraid and now I don't have problems, but getting Plex to work was fun times, but that's just my luck because I always have weird problems. One thing that I noticed was that Plex on the FreeNAS was mostly direct playing, but now with Unraid its mostly transcoding. FreeNAS is for people who is more advanced in configuring and for those who just need plain NAS. And now seeing what Unraid offers I'm glad that I finally went with Unraid. Now I just need bigger cache drive and couple new HDD and maybe 10Gbit just because

    Am I'm the only one who past 2-3 days just can't get any work units? The CPU is getting maybe 2-4 units in a day, but GPU isn't getting anything and restarting doesn't help.

    Any movie on any device in any playback mode will buffer nonstop. But that happens at random sometimes nothing sometimes every 5 seconds. And doesn't metter if I watch on Xbox or Chromcast and if it's direct play or transcode and if it's 1080p rip or 4k rip. And now tried on PC straight from network share without Plex and its also stuttering. I'm noob at freenas and plex setup. Maybe there is some configuration that isn't optimal. What I'm searched haven't helped. That's why I'm starting to feel that is hardware issue. Server specs Intel I3 4150 8gb DDR3 non-ECC 3x 2tb HDD Asus H(something) motherboard Intel 1gbit NIC Server is connected to router via cat5e (around 15m) cable. I'm thinking upgrading server to AMD 2600 based system (mainly reason to get 3700x in my desktop ) and maybe moving to unraid but I don't know if it will help. I use NAS only for storage and in home plex streaming. Sorry for my language but English isn't my first language and sorry for bit ranting mood...

    So finally I have opportunity to replace my 980ti with I sold for 250€. I was planing to get EVGA RTX 2060 but now I'm wondering if extra 140€ over 2060 for 2070 is worth spending. I'm specifically looking at this cards EVGA RTX 2060 XC ULTRA Gaming (347€) EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 XC Gaming (487€) Prices are in euros. And because Europe is stupid 1 dolar equals 1 € I'm playing on 1440p ultrawide which is reason I wanted upgrade and to be honest I want RTX but not enough to get 2080 or 2080ti :D 2070 has around 10-15% higher performance over 2060 and especially that specific model supports 2080 waterblock which is plus for me because I have custom loop. Hope all this makes sence because English isn't my native :D

    Hi.After PC hardware upgrade I installed Windows 10 and of course I got famous 1809 build.And now windows doesn't recognize Asus PCE-AC68 wifi adapter showing in device manager code 28 before the driver installation attempt and code 10 after installation attempt. I've tried everything that Google can give me...Different Asus driver versions, Broadcom driver, reinstallingWindows one more time. But nothing....Is there any chance to fix it or where I can get older Windows builds? I want Windows 7 times back or even 8.1 .... When will Microsoft get their sh** together?...... PC specs: Ryzen R5-2600 Asus Strix B450-F

    Ik finally ready to setup networking right at new house and realy don't want to use WiFi if possible. I sometimes hate my self because of that Is there any real reason to use FTP CAT6 instead of UTP if network cables will run outside wall and no way near 220 power lines. Only 3-5 meters will be two network cables next to each other. With network cables I will connect 2 computers 1 tv Freenas sever In total about 40-50 meters of cable. And about Modular plugs. I'm only seen cat6 plugs for UTP cables but does it mater?

    Hello there. After updating to 388.00 or 388.13 driver on Windows 10 (Fall Update) nvidia control panel doesn't show up, msi afterburner doesn't see gpu, games doesn't launch or runs at 5fps and weirdly sleep option from shutdown menu is missing. I have EVGA GTX 980ti SC+ with flashed bios For now it seems that driver doesn't install it just deletes old drivers but doesn't install new ones. Older drivers works just fine. I tried 1. Clean install drivers 2. Deleting old ones with DDU and after restart install new ones. 3. Reinstalling clean windows 10

    Do I really need ECC memory for home NAS? I heard that ECC memory is highly recommended for ZFS pool. And with non-ECC memory its possible to lost data. I don't know anything about servers etc. If ECC memory is obligatory with ZFS then what motherboard and memory to get. With server hardware I feel same when I was first looking for desktop PC. System specs: amd phenon x4 9850 2,5GHz DELL AM2 motherboard some kind of 8GB DDR2 WD blue 640gb (now I am looking for at least 2x WD Red 2TB)

    Some updates. Even the most perfect case needs some modding Just one thing that is wrong with this case is that there is a place for the top fans above radiator, but because of frame I can't fit them there. But Dremel always helps Btw thank god I have flexible tubing First of taking everything out and taping place where to cut. After sweat and blood its done. After I took this picture I made some modification for fan screws. And the difference was huge. It seems 25mm isn't much, but from visual standpoint it's much. Last week I found a nice deal where someone from Oslo (I am from Trondheim) sold EVGA SC+ 980ti with an EK water block for a 3500NOK (395 Eur). Of course I put my 980ti for sale at the same price. and a few days later I sold my 980ti. Because of that I got a water block for free and a bit smaller PCB. The only thing I had to buy was 2 fittings and 2 plugs. Simple but easy to get here in town. Here is only one shop for enthusiasts, but hey had over 50 fittings but zero plugs... So while I am waiting for my plugs from EK I put plugs from reservoir to gpu and for reservoir I am using plugs that was on the radiator (1 on the top, 1 next by outlet) Draining is a pain in the ass.. With a front 360 radiator upgrade I will add drain plug in the basement. (that isn't my 1070 its my friends) Almost done! And done. We decided to try other colors before i go PETG tubing. I know 240 rad isn't enough for CPU+GPU but without overclock my max temps are CPU - 67 and GPU - 53 I changed the rear fan to intake but only when the temps exceeds 60 degrees on the CPU. A bit later I will add front 360 rad and maybe PETG tubing
