  1. Thanks for the reply mate. But I have already tried the above solution it did not work for me. At this point I am thinking of upgrading
  2. Hey guys I have been having this problem with my OS software for some odd reason I can't successfully download any windows updates. I keep getting the Code 800B0100 and Code 8024200D. I have tried every suggested solution from you tube videos to Microsoft website. Any tips would be appreciated
  3. I was told to set the CPU core voltage mode to (adaptive mode) as I don't want the cpu to be constantly running at its peak
  4. Tmh85 yup is all stable had no problems running the test. Thanks helping I definitely feel more comfortable now.
  5. Hi everyone, I recently overclocked my cpu to 4.2ghz with the core voltage 1.050 and the rig voltage as 1.025. I booted up into windows and CPU-Z showed my core voltage as 0.710. However when running Prime95 to test the stability this boosted up to 1.132 with temps reaching 70c (Corsair H80i). I was wondering do I need to make any further changes to the core voltage or leave it as it is? My mobo is the MSI z87 gd65 gaming. Your thoughts would be appreciated thanks.
  6. Thanks guys I think I will just leave it out
  7. Is it necessary to have it plugged into the MOBO?
  8. I would personally go for the 780 SC and save the rest for a more significant upgrade (Maxwell). Even then there is possibility of the 780 being able to hold its own.
  9. I have recently got a new motherboard the z87 gd65 gaming and I have found my case has a 1394 cable which I can't plug into the motherboard as I do not have available usb ports. Therefore I was wondering can I leave it unplugged? My previous MOBO the Sabertooth p67 had a usb port specifically for this cable labelled 1394_2
  10. Thanks guys for the replies. So I guess I would just reinstall the OS to be on the safe side. What backup softwares would you guys recommend for the drives. I have heard reformatting an ssd could possibly damage it
  11. I have recently decided to change my motherboard and cpu (sabertooth p67 and i7 2600k) to the MSI z87 gd65 gamer edition and i5 4670k. The reason being my motherboard had died and so I took the opportunity to change to Hanswell. I have some points that I need help with. 1) Does changing the motherboard and cpu require that I install a new OS? My OS system is installed in my SSD drive and I have 2 TB hard drive for data (Windows 7) 2) Would I lose all my data? 3) Would my previous hardware i.e. Ram give me any trouble when placing in the new mobo in terms of functionality? I would appreciate any assistance you guys can provide
