  1. Hi! I would like to compress some files from the past as far as they can be safely compressed without completely ruining the quality of pictures or videos. I've looked here and there for compression programs but I didn't find any that were particularly good (except for the ones you have to pay/subscribe for). I found some interesting programs but they offered me different formats to compress with, for example; .rar .zip .bh (Black Hole) .7z etc. I searched for info and I got this wiki page for info. However I only got to know what the formats did, in which way they encrypted stuff and if they were descendants of previous formats etc.. So I will turn myself here. Is there a good (preferably free) compression software out there that can suit my needs? Thanks for the help!
  2. Hi! I have some trouble looking for an SSD. The SSDs I've thought about are; Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD And the respective costs are; EVO = ~1000SEK (~$123 USD) PRO = ~1500SEK (~$184 USD) However, the Samsung 850 PRO 256GB SSD has some benefits against the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD; 6GB extra storage (bigh woop but still) MLC instead of TLC More efficient in power usage (however it is not much) 10 year warranty instead of 5 year warranty So as far as I am concerned, it looks like the 850 PRO > 850 EVO, however, the EVO is 500SEK ($81SD) cheaper than the PRO... So which one should I buy? Are the few benefits that the PRO SSD offers worth that 500SEK($81USD) extra, or should I just go with the EVO? Note; I'm going to use the SSD for software such as the OS, Battle.NET app, Steam, Spotify, Skype etc. (All the games will be installed on an HDD). ------------- Thanks for your time!
  3. the interwebs in sweden like 1200SEK (154,23USD)
  4. Hi! I'm going to buy an HDD for storing videos, photos etc. The capacity can be 1TB and up, just so it's a good storage HDD, and if cheap enough can be put in RAID-1. I prefer: - S-ATA 6Gb/s - 3.5" - Reliable Thanks for help!
  5. in what way is the 850 better than the 840s?
  6. The EVO has a 512MB chache, but I've heard of great performance issues..
  7. Same capacity (about 10GB less on intels), not notifiable more or less R/W. I've heard many complaints on the EVO series as of late, so I'm a little worried about getting one of those. But I've heard lots of great things about Intels SSDs. Which one should I buy? Samsung 840 EVO Series MZ-7TE250 (heard some bad stuff about them) OR Intel 530 Series 2.5" SSD 240GB (heard almost only good things about them)
  8. Go for it, you dont need 16GB RAM for gaming tho, but I shouldn't say anything, made the same call on the RAM as you did However that graphics card is NOT future proof for that many years, if you keep your game library up to date you're gonna need a better graphics card, although I'm not that much read up on AMD graphics cards. Anyway, nice rig!
  9. Never mind........ awkward as hell to say but my system recovery deleted the keyboard profile I have used the entire week to a keyboard profile I had some weeks ago...... thanks, if I haven't found out that my keyboard profile went drunk I would have done that
  10. NEVER MIND REASON FOR EDIT: LOOK AT COMMENTS..........
  11. Well, sorry for not telling you this but the one that will handle this sword will be a female protagonist But thanks so much! Now I know what her main weapon should be
  12. I'm doing a short story for my english class, but I dont know what type of sword my protagonist character should have...
  13. I'd like to start off by telling you that I'm not an audiophile, I just want to have some affordable cans for my music listening mostly in school and in the bus. The headphones I'm looking at is the Sennheiser HD429. My questions are as following; Do they isolate the sound good? I mean will the others hear what I'm listening to easily? Is it a good balance in sound, with good bass (for this pricerange)? If you find something else you'd like to recommend to me (within the same pricerange, preferably the same price) you are welcome to do so.
  14. Well so far I think I'm going with the Samsung one, thanks! ^^
