  1. that is as odd an idea (at first thought) as it is brilliant so i tried it and both run at 1gb (autonegotiation)
  2. I will contact them tomorrow (kinda late here in europe ^^) and report how it went thx for all the help btw
  3. it negotiates 100 at half duplex and thank you, i will do that in the future ^^
  4. yes it is in one piece
  5. kinda hard to get a good picture, but here's the link ^^ (sry it's in german) https://www.schwab.de/primewire-cat-7-flachband-patchkabel-rj45-mehrfach-geschirmtes-u-ftp-gigabit-lan-kabel-_600433303.html
  6. my other pc is running arch ^^ any other suggestion to rule out the firewall?
  7. well, I'm not gonna say that unplugging and plugging them in again for what feels like the 1000nds time fixed it, BUT it is currently running at a 100 mb/s. The reason for this is beyond me...
  8. not quite sure what you mean, it says "CAT.7 U/FTP" on the cable nvm then
  9. I havent tried swapping out the cable, but i've connected a different computer using the same cable (i'm a little short on cables) Yes, updating the drivers was about the first thing I did ^^
  10. it's directly connected via a cat7 cable
  11. its connected to an easybox 804 (provided by my ISP)
  12. the on-board lan would not work either
  13. wow, that was quick, yes it has it didnt last however
  14. Hi guy, I've run into a little problem, I can't get my LAN connection to go above 10 mb/s (that's bits). I set the speed to 100 Full Duplex in the configurations and it does connect, however if I open the status it says 10 mb/s. Online Speedtests show a transfer of only 5 mb/s. I've tried it on other devices, they can run at 100 mb/s or at least at more than 10. I'm starting to get a little frustrated I'm running: Windows 10, TP-Link tg3468, asus x370-pro mobo
  15. Current status: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/pznVQV not sure whether to go with a 1080 or 1070 and save a couple of Eurones. psu is about 80€ on amazon. Do i need any additional case fans?
