Solved, had a tv as my monitor and once I busted out my old cathode ray monitor it was able to catch the splash screen much sooner and I was then able to access everything.

So I just finished my build for a hackintosh (eeww I know), and now the first step is to access bios settings but for some reason whenever the splash screen pops up displaying my motherboard and what function keys to press to access settings, none of them will work. I have tried both wireless and wired keyboard, I have cleared the CMOS by taking out the battery for a minute and have short circuited the switch. Any clues or help on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.
