  1. Hi guys, i would like to ask you guys if i can use the am4 Thermaltake CL-O008-CLSTBL-A bracket for my Cirsair H75 cooler for its AM4 bracket...? because their cooler brackets look the same and same screws. i saw the thermaltake on amazon.
  2. And if ever there will be no way to fix this PSU, any advice on what type and model of PSU preferably to buy with my setup... I use my PC for almost 24/7... My PC only sleeps when i sleep or when I go out. Thanks for any advice. :-)
  3. I tried removing the PSU and put it aside for 1 day and the problem is still occurring. I tried this morning plugging it again to the PC and the same thing. After turning it on, after some few seconds, it shuts down and after some few restarts, the mboard wont even make a BEEP indicator, but the fan is still spinning and the power led indicator on. I tried my old PSU and it works fine and got to the conclusion that my new PSU is the problem. I think that the pinkish color on the coil looks like an indication of an overheating i think...? And one more thing, can i ask you about the short circuit protection, how was it tripped if ever...?
  4. i would love to return this to the store but im half way around the world where i bought this... :-( any advice guys?
  5. Hi guys, I need help on fixing my power supply EVGA 650BQ that just died. lol. i just bought this not more than 2months ago. The psu shuts down after few secont upon turning on the pc, but the fan is still running. And i tested the output volts and found that a single 12v wire on the pcie and vga cable is not outpiting 12v. the i sneek a peek in the psu and i saw this. My question is, can i replace the part which looks odd and not suppose to be like that? My specs: Gigabyte 990fxa udr rev. 4 amd fx 8320 sapphrire nitro rx 470 4g 2x4g ram corsair h75 3x120mm fans 3xhdd
  6. thanks for the info... BUT here's my first problem before after 1st running the the unit with all stock bios settings and everything all fresh... the unit blacks out at stock bios settings. it took me more than a month to research the setting i have now to be stable coz i dont want damage the unit coz its new. its still a puzzle to me why is it that the default settings on the bios won't work and it gets too hot on the board heatsinks. that's why i reduced the voltages on the moboard chips. now it works fine and still running for more than two years now. with all stock just the vcore and nb core reduced voltages. even before my vcore was at 1.2v and my nb core was at 1.0 volts. and its all good. maybe the problem is at the power supply. i dont know coz i have'nt tried a better psu yet.
  7. yup... i got that the first time when i bought the board whit the cpu. after i finished the biuld. turned on the pc... always shuts down. until i reduced the voltage on my Vcore and NB core.
  8. yah... i get that. Maybe an aftermarket cooler like those corsairs tower heat sinks should drop my temps on cpu...?
  9. i did increase the vcore and nb core before but the cpu shuts down but the power led and hdd leds are still blinking. the screen just turns black. i have researched so many forums before to base my bios settings. but im not pro on this thats why i thank you for any comments.
  10. Hi guys, this is my stable stress tested on CPU-Z overclocking setting on AMD FX 8320 on a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev4.0 with pc components which are: -stock heat sink and fan on cpu -2x 4Gb 1333 ram -4x fans -3x HD -2x external HD (Portable) -550 watts logisys psu -F3 BIOS update and it works just fine on 4.0Ghz with just a little bit of cpu fan noise on full load. Have not yet tried to go further. The trick that i did here is or i just "guessed" LOL is i based my original cpu speed which is 3.5Ghz then overclocking, counting how much i pressed (+) to get to 4.0Ghz And then, i did the same in reverse on CPU Vcore and NB core. And Disable Core Performance Boost by the way. In short, i pressed (+) 5x CPU Clock Ratio and (-) 5x CPU Vcore and NB Core. Hope this helps... :-) See Pics for details.
