Hi guys! Thinking of getting anew laptop (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07KS1JF2H/?coliid=I1KVFIFCNGVOGL&colid=2I9FLULXNAYJ0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1). It has a 2070 Max-Q DGPU. However it says that the display port is a USB-C port. I was wondering if the display port is connected to the DGPU or iGPU because I use an external monitor that runs at 1440P 144Hz. The model: asus rog zephyrus GX531GW Thanks in advance!

This is the performance from playing Metro Exodus for a while... it throttles at only 84 degrees for some reason

SO I have an alienware 17 r4 with a gtx 1080. I was playing Metro Exodus and there where periodic frame drops out of nowhere. So I kept MSI afterburner open in another monitor and played the same again and I noticed that the temperature of the GPU goes to 85 degrees and then suddenly thermal throttles down and repeats. How do I make it not throttle at such a low temperature? Its not even reaching 90 degrees before it throttles!

When I play certain games (usually online FPS games), my frames keep dropping every minute or so. I checked my task manager, and it shows my CPU at 100% usage during the game and then drops to 30%-40% when the sudden frame drops happen. I checked the temps of my GPU and CPU, and they are usually in the 80s. I honestly don't know whats causing this and how to fix it. Some help would be great! I have had my laptop (Alienware 17 R4), for over an year now. This has never happened in the past. It started about a few weeks ago. Specs: GTX 1080, i7-7820HK.

The CPU temps seemed pretty normal, plus in almost every single player game i play, this problem isnt there, I honestly cant seem to figure it out

I have been having fps drops when playing fps shooters like overwatch and rainbow six. I didn't really have this problem till like a month ago. I usually play on a 144HZ monitor at 1440p with g-sync on. The games run off my laptop which has a gtx 1080. What happens is the game starts off at 144 fps and then a few mins in it drops to like 15 FPS for a few seconds and then back to 144 FPS. Then this cycle repeats every 60 seconds or so. It makes the games nearly impossible to play. I tried re installing rainbow six, but the problem is still there. I did test the thermals yesterday while playing the game and it was at about 80-85 degrees. I do play league of legends and this problem isn't there. When I play single person games offline, like Wolfenstein 2, I didn't really have a problem at all (although I did have some fps drops every now and then while playing the Witcher 3 a few months ago.) Has anybody had this problem? Anyone know whats causing this?

So when I play the Witcher 3 (especially in cave scenes) I get these weird artifacts like in the video attached. Anyone know how to fix it? The Witcher 3_Trim.mp4

So I'm running borderlands the pre sequal on windows 10. I played it a bit back in 2017 and then stopped. I got a new PC this year and re downloaded the game off steam and played like 2 hours yesterday. I saved and quit. When I logged back in today my progress since yesterday has been deleted (I started off again where I stopped in 2017 when i logged in today). On the borderlands launcher, when I try to change the settings, before launching the game, I get this error (picture). I really dont know what to do. I did find a solution where I had to run cmd as admin and do something with the directory, but that didn't work. Anyone else had this problem and can help?

On the amazon page it is quoted as follows: Superior control: Textile-weave surface designed for pixel-precise targeting and low friction tracking No Fray, No Fuss: Surrounded stitched edges guard against surface peeling for maximum durability' Accurate Plus Precise: Optimized for both laser and optical gaming mice Zero slip: Anti-skid rubber base helps it stay securely in place

Yea, just need to clean the vents only. Just doing so should be enough right?
-
So, I wanna clean my Alienware laptop's fans and vents. Does anyone know how I should go about this? I prefer not to have to open up the laptop if possible. Also, if anyone personally owns one, do you know if there is a way to manually control the fans?

Awesome! Thanks a bunch!
