  1. Hey @Chase Douglas , sorry to bother but just got around to watching the WAN show and noticed that in Linus's preview of the site showed only two orca tickets left... is that accurate? Really really hoping to secure an orca ticket and just trying to figure out my odds, thanks!
  2. I watched that just before I posted, and that's what made me remember, however I didn't think either had that functionally. I'll check again though just to be sure
  3. @LinusTech had mentioned a smartwatch not to long ago that was a hybrid watch in a sense. When charged, it had all the fancy smartwatch features, and when the battery died it still showed a working clock, so you still had a watch to get the time from. I was wondering what is it, so anybody know? Thanks for the help!
  4. I don't think its safe at all. But that's a display case most likely
  5. And /u/L3pje did what I think is the best mod I've ever seen. This pc is my new all time favorite. https://imgur.com/gallery/cdVtR
  6. Yes it should be just fine. Remember pc partpicker is always a good resource for things like this
  7. Oh okay thanks, I didn't realize they mentioned it in the video. I really appreciate it!
  8. Our robotics team is doing its own organization, and we loved the individual parts bins they used (See picture). Only problem is, we have no idea where to get them. So please let us know if you know where to get these! Thanks
  9. I think this looks great! I think that'll make for one great build. I personally prefer ASUS and G Skill to other brands, so thumbs up there. As for the Ryzen 1700, also a great choice, as you should be able to overclock it in the future if you upgrade the cooler. Good luck with your upgrade!
  10. The power supply is overkill but you will get some upgradability out of it. You mentioned intensive programs... are they multithreaded? If so, a Ryzen 5 1500 or 1500x would be better suited since they have 8 threads, and clock will be about the same as the i5. Otherwise, go for it if you think its what you need!
  11. While people have recommended hardware that is very good in general, I would first consider exactly what games you'll be playing. Then go to reputable sources that have tested those games on both Intel and AMD chips of the same tier, like LinusTechTips, Gamers Nexus, or pretty much any other big tech-tuber. See whose chips those games are more optimized for (AMD or Intel), and then choose a cpu from that manufacturer from one of the ones recommended here! If you need help finding a mobo and RAM for it after that, just let us know! Best of wishes!
  12. A beautiful i5-750 and accompanying hardware from that era!
  13. Intel has been cooking up a new and improved architecture every year now, and now that AMD has made a comeback with Ryzen, what's next? I've heard about Zen Pro, but I don't think its much more than a platform for professional users. Will AMD join in on yearly releases? Let me know what you've heard!
