Thank you for all the replies will be going with the sp120 like Tmh85 and Osmium said as Gentle Typhoons do seem to be harder to find.

budget is not really an issue unless its crazy amounts, as for noise should be about the same as the original or better at 36 dBA.

Hi guys, The fan on my cm 212 evo is not sounding very healthy anymore so i wish to replace it before it decides to fail and would like to know what you think would be a good replacement for it. I have heard good things about noctua however i dont really like the asthetics of them. Preferably im after somthing like the original and was considering a corsair sp120 what to you guys think is there anything better?(will be purchasing from amazon as i have a few other things to get anyway)
  4. Hi guys, just doing an update to this incase its of help to anyone in the future. have been in touch with msi support and tryed a few things and ended up using an old gts450 i had lying around (feel the powerrr) and all the problems disappeared. So it looks like it maybe rma time i hope its not a pain.
  5. ok so that lasted about a day before returning i have spending a lot of time looking but not found anything very helpful on google im attaching another image from latencymon thats more detailed in the hope someone will be able so shed light on this.
  6. Well you sir need a gold star that seems to have solved my problems just rolling back was obviously not enough to fix it. will post again if it comes back in the future. thanks. now if i can just find that cable for my camara i can upload the pics of my build that i have been meaning to do for about 2 months.
  7. Hi guy's, Ok heres my problem: When gaming mostly skyrim and WOT i get weird cracking audio and a lower frame rate it seems to be for about a few minutes then stops for a while before returning(the longer i play the less it seems to occur ). My first thoughts where either a bad driver or a conflict somewhere so i have tried using an older driver and removeing sound blaster cinima as i have realtech audio installed also but to no avail. some searching on the net ended up with me looking at latency that shows up high when opening a youtube video or gaming but are good at idle or playing mp3's, the two culprits seem to be dxgkrnl.sys and nvlddmkm.sys images will be below (not sure if i attached them correctly?). I used msi live update 5 and navidias web site to update drivers. Please say if you need more info. here are my pc's specs: i7-4770k 8GB ram msi Z87-GD65 N780 TF 3GD5/OC (gtx 780) windows 7 X64 Thankyou in advance.
  8. Will probably be about 2-3 weeks before its done as i still have some building work in my garage to complete first so finding time at weekends maybe difficault. But dont worry i will definitely upload some pic's for you when its done. @WoodenMarker i really do appreciate you sticking to the colour scheme so well and finding all those nice parts, but am hoping a gold certified psu will save some pennies in its lifetime plus its fully modular. Will tag you both when i post images so cya soon guys.
  9. Nice will be using this setup only change will be psu as i can get the corsair rm650w for only about £10 more and is gold certified. Thanks all, marking as sloved.
  10. Thanks for the recommendations that case and cooling system looks sweet will be getting those. as for the rest of the parts i have chosen to take a few things from each post with the exception of the mobo and cpu, im looking at cheaper msi and intel i5's as suggested by @FloRolf as i have these brands in my current pc and they seem to have out lived friends AMD systems by 3-4 years (shows how old the pc im using now is) and im just sticking to what i have experianced from their reliability however im sure much has changed. Should be making my first order on monday and thanks again for everyone who posted here. edit: oops before i forget what thermal compound would you recommend as im not sure how good the coolmaster stuff will be.
  11. Firstly as for the psu after a lot of digging i found a corsair rm650w for almost the same as the 600 so i may choose to go with that as its more efficent. Other parts include Corsair Vengeance 8GB and WD 1TB hhd to replace the items on my list. As for my budget its about £1000 - £1200 max (i think thats about $1850usd?) but i will try keeping costs as low as i can. My main problem is the case, i like the four fans and red/black colour of the CiT Vantage Type-R but having seen one on youtube it looks a lot smaller than i thought it would be any ideas? oh and thanks for the heads up on quoting.
  12. Thanks for the video freaky_spider i must have missed that one. Will definitely look in to 1TB HDD, SSD and RAM. would a corsair cxm 600w modular 80 plus be a good power supply? (edit: sorry forgot to put the K after 4770)
