  1. 90% of all the Windows users will just go with the Express Settings without knowing what they just did.
  2. Windows 10 is mostly free for everyone in the first year. But as it seems as Microsoft is going down the Google road and collecting all you personal data. But it is even worse as they are collecting it on the level of the operating system. https://jonathan.porta.codes/2015/07/30/windows-10-seems-to-have-some-scary-privacy-defaults/ There's as a reddit on how to disable most of the data logs: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3f38ed/guide_how_to_disable_data_logging_in_w10/ I personally will move on and use Linux for all my personal stuff and use Windows only for gaming from now on. Moreover you should change some default settings for update delivery, because otherwise Microsoft will just plain use your bandwidth to update other people's OS http://thenextweb.com/microsoft/2015/07/30/windows-10-steals-your-bandwidth-to-send-other-people-updates/ I was really excited for Windows 10, until I read all of this. F*** you Microsoft
  3. Just moving huge files from the servers to my PC. And yeah a 10 GBit Network Switch isn't cheap
  4. A friend of mine will get my old PC, so I won't reuse any parts I forgot to mention that it should have 10 Gbit Ethernet.
  5. Hi, I'm planning to build a new pc. Recently I upgraded from my 2 1440p monitors to a Dell UP2715K 5K Monitor. However my old computer struggles to handle all those pixels. Moreover I want to add a second UP2715K, because my workflow is a lot better with 2 displays. The computer will be used for work and a little gaming. As for the case I prefer minimalist designs It should be a silent as possible. My budget is around $2800. Thanks
  6. Hey guys, I'm looking for a good router that offers 5Hz and 802.11 ac. It should be DD-WRT compatible. The price should be below 120$ (less always better) Thanks Koopax

    4K IPS Display

    It's not for gaming, so I don't need G-Sync

    4K IPS Display

Hey I'm looking for a new monitor. I want to have as much real estate on one single monitor as possible. I tried the Dell U3415w ultrawide curved, however my eyes get really tired when using it. I think this is due to the low ppi, because I' m used to the display in my laptop which has 220 ppi So I'm looking for a 4K display. It should have an IPS panel and 60hz over Displayport. It will be used mainly for work, so input lag is not important. The price should be below 800 Dollars Thanks in advance
  9. The iMac is actually a good deal compared to the Dell 5k Display http://www.pcworld.com/article/2602870/dells-27-inch-5k-monitor-packs-almost-twice-the-pixels-of-4k-displays.html
  10. Thanks for all the answers I will go with 2 BenQ BL2710PT or 2 ViewSonic VP2770-LED However I find it very difficult to make the last decision
  11. I prefer the higher ppi of 27" 1440p monitors
  12. Thank you for all the answers. 16 Million Colors are actually good enough. However I wonder about the Viewsonic VP2770, it is quite cheap for over 1 billion colors. I consider the ASUS PA279Q too expensive compared to the LG 34UM95, which has the same color depth.
  13. I'm looking for a new monitor setup. There are 2 options: a) Two 2560x1440 displays b) One 3440x1440 display The monitor(s) will be mainly used for work (Web Development, Photoshop, Illustrator) and should cost around 1000$. The monitor(s) should have: - an IPS Panel - a clean look (Are there any monitors with an aluminium body?) - a USB Hub (Not a must, but a nice addition) Thanks
