  1. Ok so here's the background information 1. Speakers do work, I can get sound through them on another computer 2. In the playback devices, my speakers will show up when plugged into a rear/sub/side speaker port in the back 3. In playback devices, my speakers will show up as not connected when plugged into the line out port in the back. Anyone know what the issue could be? Earlier today I hit the "disable" on the speakers in the playback devices, then hit enable but they won't show up anymore. Thanks for any help
  2. So once I do that, were would I instal? Can I use a mac because that's the only other computer I own.
  3. I will do that when off work thank you, I will try and post the blue screen error here for more help. Also thank you for the info.
  4. By application I mean I tried Chrome and steam, as well as my files and control panel.
  5. So I built my own computer about 2 months ago. I had a few issues but it cleaned up nicely. My computer was working fine for the two months I had maybe 2 crashes but nothing I was really worried about. Two nights ago I shut down my computer to let it rest. Just last night I came back up to turn on the computer. I had many different issues. 1. it would say Windows not responding, reset needed. 2. Blue Scree of death would come up other times. Reset the computer, I can't tell what error is coming up because its so fast. Something along the lines of "If you have downloaded new software make sure it works" (havn't downloaded anything new recently). I am able to get to the password screen, Log in. Then when I log it everything will be running, but when I open an application it will shut down. I did not try this again this morning because I am fearful I am wrecking the system. I have windows 7. Will I need to take this to someone who knows about computers more then I do? Or is there something I can do about it?
  6. @Bonsai99 is there any chance it is a Graphics card issue? like possibly static damage? Just want to make sure I return the correct item.
  7. So they can be dead before I get the monitor? Its brand new, but wouldn't be suprised. I will do that, thank you.
  8. So I have updated information on the Issue I have been having with my screen. Whenever there is a black area on the screen, it is filled with red pixles. It becomes very annoying (when playing a game there is extra red ect.) At first I though it was my graphics card as I could not get that to work. I have since then gotten my graphics card to work with the most recent drivers (able to play games now). But that didn't fix the other issue. It could still be an issue with the graphics card, even if it is brand new. Possibly static, or it could be the monitor. Help would be great Monitor. Dell E2414H Black 24" 5ms Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 1000:1 Graphics Card. SAPPHIRE 100354OC-2L Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card thank you.
  9. @ryanLeech I have a VGA and DVI, it is set to auto select between the two of them. I would post picture but after taking a picture it doesn't show up. the pixles are to small.
  10. @Ryan Leech I am confused. Do you mean the monitor type? resolution?
