  1. So to clear up you are saying if I am sticking with 5900x (and I tend to stick with it to be more future proof) I should go with 280mm radiator and the 240 Corsair h100i would be enough ? Finding the right AIO (design and performance wise seems to be the hardest part) before that post I was committed to Corsair h100i but now I don’t now, Galahad doesn’t fit my taste as much as Corsair does or the kraken (why it couldn’t be white version of it). As far as I looked up there isn’t white version of h100i elite that is 280mm. Good to know, I am extremely grateful for your help. Should I check the production date somehow ? Do You think it’s risky to go with that one ?
  2. So I found this PSU SeaSonic Focus GX-850W which is around 200 PLN less (around 50USD) and I found white cable mod which is great and seems to be good decision. What do you think about SeaSonic - reviews are good when I looked it up. Do you think I will need to swap the pre-applied thermal paste from the h100i ? Second thing - whenever I will chose B550 OC Vision or B550 from Asus will I need to flash The bios or something (with another Amd CPU that I don’t have) or it will be just plug and play with mounting 5900x ?
  3. Good point about motherboard I will consider your pick I will stick with the processor, and GPU (gpu is already bought), for the cooler I am considering H100i Elite Capelix in white - it should fit the Visuals nicely. What do you think ? With RAM I will definitely go with the 3600mh version. I will swap the PSU for some modular regular one and buy some cable mods. For the fans I think I will stick with white Corsair fans but maybe you guys could recommend some nice looking white RGB fans ?
  4. So I get your point: 1. Case I am committed to switch to significantly better case in terms of airflow therefore I would buy 4000d airflow 2. AIO - I understand that aios are overpriced and less reliable than air coolers but it is a aesthetic decision for me. It’s a conscious decision - the motivation behind is that when I am spending so much money on a Desktop PC I really want it to look in a certain way that is pleasing to me. The question is: whenever the aios - kraken/h100i or the ID cooling is a good decision (enough cooling performance) or I should go with other model ? So could you maybe tell me if the 5900x or the MOBO is a bad decision in terms of bang for the buck or just the case and AIO cooling in general ?
  5. Ok I get that, so the Corsair 4000d is nice and it is probably reasonable to switch the case to one that can breathe. I was checking different AIO coolers and two questions came up: 1. Will the kraken z63 be sufficient to cool 5900x - I don’t plan any extreme OC 2. I was looking for some white AIOs and there isn’t much on the market - Corsair H100i - seems to be good but it lacks the screen on the pump and the design of kraken pump is nicer to me and there is ID-COOLING AuraFlow x 240 - what do you think about these two ? Thanks for your help ;)

The preferred way, if there is one, would be to post it in a format we can click and go to. Easiest is when you're at the screen editing/adding parts, click the BB tag in the upper left corner and copy/paste that into the thread.

  7. Budget (including currency): ~ 3500 USD I've got my hands on what's seems to be a great deal for GPU so i decided to get it and build around it high end gaming rig focused on good looks. The deal was: around 1800 USD for RTX 3080 Ti Gigabyte OC Vision Country: Poland (EU) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Basically i want to play modern AAA titles like Cyber Punk and and future titles at high to ultra 1440p without to worry about the performacne. There will be little to no worksation use, mainly gaming. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am focused on aesthetics and that's why I've chosen NZXT case - i love the desing and B550 Gigabyte OC Vision MOBO. I could consider another case (better airflow) with similair desing if you have any ideas. Ofcourse the main theme is white. I would be very gratefull if you could check if the parts will work togheter and if i didnt make any stupid mistakes. I am not so sure aboout the RAM speed for eg. I am tech oriented guy but still this is my first build Thanks for help ! Part List:
  8. Hey guys! I have really great opportunity to buy pretty damn cheap 15 R3 with 1070 but what is holding me off is that it has UK keyboard layout. I use US layout and I'm comfortable with it and I don't want to switch, especially with US layout on my desktop. I know that changing the keyboard is possible, (correct me if I'm wrong) I've watched some tutorials but i couldn't find any keyboard replacement parts with US layout, tbh I didn't find any keyboards for 15R3. So maybe u guys can help me finding them. Also I don't know how changing the keyboard would affect the warranty. Any ideas ??
  9. i dont know alot about import but i think its 20% tax and the uk price is 926 in euros which makes it too expensive after tax In EU you shouldn't have any customs charges inside the EU common market. Also the price include already your tax (VAT) and customs cant charge you with it. It means that you can buy stuff in any online shop in EU market and if also you are from EU country you will NOT pay any tax or custom. Another thing is geomarketing which is done by many corporations. Basically they limits their online shops price or shipping destination for certain countries. Just $$$. Use mail forwarding as @Pendragon said or a friend living in UK
