Hello,
i have a problem with a PC i am trying to get to run:
Specs:
mobo: MSI MAG B550
GPU: for testing purposes a old gtx 750ti, i tested it and it works fine, same trouble with a gtx 980ti
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz (also tried with G.Skill RAW 3000Mhz)
SSD: Samsung M.2 970 EVOPlus 500GB (also tried 2 normal HDDs and a Samsung SATA SSD)
PSU: already tried 2 different bequiet (580W and 600W) and a Corsair HX1000
All the parts that were listed first are new, but some were bought a few months ago.
The motherboard probably already has a defect as there is no video output whatsoever when you use the upper PCIe slot for the Graphics cards.
If u use the other PCIe slot it works though. I can enter the BIOS and boot on a Windows installation USB-Stick.
After it finishes installing everything on the following screenshot the PC reboots. (this picture is from the internet, but its the same)
Usually you would get to configure windows now but it just gets stuck on this screen every time:
The loading dots stop moving, get 'stuck' and it just stays like that forever, i can move the mouse though.
There is no Debug LED turned on.
I have tried everything that came to my mind (i hope i forget nothing on this list):
- different hardware configurations:
1. Only 1 DIMM slot, tried different working models as well
2. Different SSD/HDDs, tried each one by itself with the others plugged out, i know at least some are working
3. Different working Power supplies
- tried different USB Sticks to install windows from and tested it on other PCs, no problems installing
- cleared CMOS (jumper next to battery)
Well, the Motherboard might just be broken, but i am really confused that it always works until that same point.
I am very thankful for any help!!
And sorry english is not my first language so i might use some technical terms not 100% correct but i think/hope everyone understands what i mean
EDIT:
1. Booting from windows that was installed on another machine does not work at all
2. i couldn't really find F6 drivers, it seems to correspond to intel rapid storage technologiy
