I've looked at both the laptop and the book. The book a little expensive for me. The surface laptop however is pretty good but when you choose 16gb of ram and a 512gb SSD it gets quite a bit more pricey. For me I'm mostly looking for something to do some casual gaming like StarCraft or league, taking notes, school related stuff and media consumption (movies/TV). I kinda moved towards the hp envy because of the good cpu, 16gb of ram, and the nividia mx250. I was also looking for something with a metal chassis and a price no greater than $2000cad.
