Does the 8700k run faster than a Ryzen 7 1800x for Adobe After effects im not sure?

I recently found a 980ti and 1070 in my area for about the same price. Which one is better.

About a year and half back I bought a AMD radeon r9 fury for 234.99$ for me and a msi gtx 1060 6gb for 232.26$ for my brother. I was wondering which gpu is faster in terms of gaming because idk how to benchmark them.
