  1. Title was meant to be "Temporally" haha...
  2. Hi! If anyone has a Moto 360 (or just knows), would you mind helping me out? Here's the deal; I currently have an iPhone 5, but my contract runs out in January and I'm planning on switching to a Nexus 6. For Christmas, I'm looking to get a smart-watch and the Moto 360 is THE ONE for me. (Not a fan of the Pebble Steel's display) So here's the question: Can I use the Moto 360 as a "regular" watch until I get my Nexus 6? Boot into the OS and play around, tell the time etc. (Without pairing it to a phone.) The reason I ask is I've watched some YouTube videos and I haven't been able to see a way to skip the setup step where you are prompted to install Android Wear on your phone. If anyone can help me out, thanks!
  3. Hi! Ideally I would like to build a new rig but I don't have the money right now and won't have in the foreseeable future. So, I thought I'd give my current machine a bit of a face-lift which is a bit more affordable. Here's what I have in mind but I would love some feed back! Here's what I currently have: (Please excuse the links to a Swedish website) Cooler Master Elite 310 Chieftec A-85 Series CTB-650S 650W PSU ASUS P8Z68-V LX, Socket-1155 Intel® Core i5-2500K Processor Kingston ValueR. DDR3 1333MHz 8GB, CL9 Seagate Barracuda® 7200.12 1TB (+ some other Wester Digital HDD) Gainward GTX 770 Phantom 2GB Samsung 840 EVO It's all right and I have upgraded the GPU and added an SSD since my original build but I have some issues with it. Here's what I want to add/replace: The 310 is basic and ugly as ****. It's also very loud with the current low cost fans in it. So; ↓Cooler Master Elite 310 ↑Fractal Design Define R4 + all new cooling solutions. I'm actually running out of RAM occasionally and something is making games crash when watching YouTube videos on my second monitor for example, I suspect I need a RAM upgrade? So; ↓Kingston ValueR. DDR3 1333MHz 8GB, CL9 ↑HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 16GB One final thing which is pretty much only to please my OCD, but I'd like to replace my PSU with a modular one, so; ↓Chieftec A-85 Series CTB-650S 650W PSU ↑Corsair CX 600M, 600W PSU Does this look reasonable to you? I'm not expecting performance increases at all (I'm not THAT stupid), but it's more of a cosmetic and clean-up-ish change (I will re-install Windows etc.). Are these components good choices? Is there anything else I should change/replace/add while I'm at it? Thanks in advance!
  4. Is "OK, fine, but can't you just tell me what to get already and be done with it? This is all very confusing!" still "correct"? Thinking about the ATH-M50 and E10K.
  5. Let's say I want the GNOME interface, should I go for Debian or Ubuntu? (Or Kali which I don't even understand what it is?)
  6. Hi! I'm in the process of installing Linux on my Samsung Chromebook using Crouton. I am new to Linux and unsure which distro and desktop environment to go with? What I'm looking for is a clean, nice looking OS. Please help me out, thanks!
  7. No, Razer Taipan. Wired high quality gaming mouse. That shouldn't be an issue.
  8. And when I say 'stutter', I might mean stutter/microstutter/FPS-drops I honestly don't know the difference.
  9. No, the GPU usage might drop, but not to 0%.
  10. Also CPU usage can reach about 85% occasionally. Should I bump up the overclock to 4.5 again?
  11. And then there are the times in some games when the FPS appears to be locked at 66 but I still feel stuttering.
  12. Okay, so while playing CS:GO: GPU usage = about 30% VRAM usage = about 1GB/2GB GPU temp = about 50c CPU temp = about 40c FPS is mostly locked at 66 (overclocked monitor) but sometimes drops to about 60 (noticeable stutter).
  13. One thing I remembered when you mentioned GPU usage... I run K-BOOST to have my card not clock itself down. It makes the GPU usage read 0% all the time but I can of course turn it off. Is K-BOOST bad in any way? Can that be the issue? If anything, I found that while running the card without K-BOOST I would get stuttering in less demanding games because my card wasn't running at its full potential.
  14. Hmm. Thanks for the info. I DO only have 2GB of VRAM so that might be it. I also run Windows 8.1 so that might also be it.
