Got a Linux VM.

I apparently don't have AMD-V enabled in my BIOS, that probably won't happen for another few months or until I decide I really want to restart my system.

Did somebody say something server related? I want details.

Not a server as much as it is just a basic virtual machine.

I want to learn Linux, but I don't want to dual-boot and don't currently have another system that I can have both Linux and internet on, so I opted for a virtual machine.

Something like Oracle VM Virtualbox? You really should enable Virtualization in the BIOS. Correct me here but without native support it puts an extra load on the system to emulate said support (at least that's what I've heard).

Yes, I need to enable it in the BIOS. I just don't like restarting my system, so I'll probably not do that until the next time I need to do it for something else.

    I'm using VMWare Workstation player.

Do you just use this system for VM's now or do you use it for other Windows Applications too?

so I'll probably not do that until the next time I need to do it for something else.

But do you know what the outcome of that likely will be because I cannot count how many times I've done it myself? You'll perform the re-boot for whatever reason it may be and by the time you remember you wanted to enable virtualization you'll be back at the desktop. :/
