Any guesses as to when OLED will become cost effective for desktop monitors? I'm pretty sure the only mainstream monitor with OLED so far is LG's extra wide curved monitor. It would be nice to see this technology's amazing advantages being put yo use. Things such as the unbeatable response time in all color shifts, perfect blacks, perfect viewing angles, power efficiency, slimness, overall material efficiency(meaning so much more is acheived with so much less material than LCD), and its ability to be curved. This is of course putting aside the manufacturing issues that come along with making OLEDs but I feel the more time put into development for a mainstream product(just like anything else) will refine most if not all of these problems.
