  1. Sorry for the slow reply, but are you able to connect your SSD to another computer to make sure it's readable?
  2. By looking at the settings, it looks like it will always lock it at 30 or 60 FPS while recording. I don't see any other settings that will turn off the cap.
  3. It is under "Choose what the power button does" on the left column Edit: Sorry, on the last screenshot. Should have been more specific
  4. Switch this to either big or small icons to see the power options menu
  5. Does your SSD show up in your BIOS and does everything else seem to be coming up the way it's supposed to? Things such as RAM, CPU, GPU, etc.
  6. A protocol called ICMP is used for pining, you'll need to enable this on the target computer. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749323(v=ws.10).aspx Edit: Pineapple brought up a good point as well.
  7. If I remember correctly, you have to enable a firewall option in order to ping across a network.
  8. There's another way to get into control panel. Windows Explorer → Click on the address bar and type in "Control Panel" → And by default, it should display in Category mode, switch to either large or small icons and then go into Power Options from there
  9. I'm currently using this headset that I got during the Black Friday sale. I'm liking it a lot so far, great sound quality and bass, it's also got DTS 7.1 surround sound, battery life is great and charges really fast (over a micro USB-B as well). If your head is larger than the average, I wouldn't recommend it. https://www.logitechg.com/en-ca/product/g533-wireless-gaming-headset
  10. I hate the fast boot option because it doesn't "refresh" the system like it used to, you'd have to restart to "refresh" it. By disabling this, it will "refresh" it every time you shut off your PC
  11. If you want a complete shutdown like in the good ol' days back in the XP era, just change your Power Options settings. This WILL reduce start up time by a little, but seeing that you have an SSD, it shouldn't make a difference or have little increase in boot time. Win (start key) + X → Power Options → Additional Power Settings → Choose what the power button does → Change settings that are currently unavailable → uncheck "Turn on fast startup" → Save changes
  12. I would have also said to go with the 1060 version, more bang for the buck.
  13. I'm not sure if this was you or not, but I found this thread on Lenovo's website: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkCentre-A-E-M-S-Series/CPU-upgrade-for-M52-8212-1QU/td-p/162306 Another site that I've found was this model's documentation: http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?infotype=an&subtype=ca&htmlfid=897/ENUS105-312#@2h@72@ Did the machine ever post (turn on and show bios)? Did it ever make any beeping sounds? (Some machines may require external speakers for post sounds)
  14. I wouldn't get to conclusions too soon no one knows how things are going to turn out.
  15. If you go to start and type in dxdiag and then hit enter, you can find the model of the system.
  16. My FPS dropped by 2 in Minecraft.
  17. Windows Update Service is for automatic updates. You can always manually download and install any updates as long as you can find them and is compatible with your hardware
  18. Another thing, the Samsung Data Migration is very user friendly. But, it may be only available for Samsung SSD users.
  19. Was this an official update release? I never got an update and things like this is why I try to stay away from unofficial releases
  20. There are ways to image your current HDD and put that image on the new drive. One of the programs that can do this is Acronis True Image which can be found at https://www.acronis.com/en-us/ If you end up getting a Samsung SSD, I'm not sure if this applies to all models, but the 850 EVO comes with an cloning tool called Data Migration in a CD format, it can also be downloaded here http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/ Edit: This process does take a while but it sure will be a lot less of an hassle than transferring all your files, re-installing Windows, applications, etc.
  21. 2nd image is the Canadian site, their store only had 3 items, they don't have the shave butter and the Charlie One Wipe.
  22. Everything on that link works, but it doesn't allow me to select a province, only states (the link only allows American addresses). When I go to the Canadian site from the homepage, it doesn't have any coupon codes or the same deal as the American site does. I don't mind paying $9 and $4 (or $5) every month but would be nice to get that starter bundle. It is weird how Linus Tech Tips is a Canadian company but some of the sponsors or affiliates aren't even available in Canada.
  23. That link is for Americans though, there is no way to use Canadian address
  24. Does anyone know if there's a affiliate code or link for Dollar Shave Club (Canada)?
