  1. Sounds good. I could just save for a new PSU though and just upgrade my GPU. I'm like real scared of my PC now
  2. Ah, okay. Thing is though I'm not using 550W like ever - not with this graphics card or CPU.
  3. Okay, just noticed something. Even after installing drivers, both the audio devices are controlled by Microsoft's default audio driver. Weird. Anyways, seeming as VIA didn't work, I'm getting my Realtek driver now. Wish me luck. (If this doesn't work I'm installing Windows 7.)
  4. How come? I have no other PSU and also the previous owner (my family) definitely wouldn't have chose an unstable PSU. Plus, I have nothing to lose really. New PC soon.
  5. Do you mean default playback device? If so, yes. Look at the image on main - that's with the back panel plugged in in green, and front panel plugged in - green as well. About to install VIA drivers - never tried these before.
  6. Okay, just looked on Driver Scape for some drivers, found a VIA audio driver. Trying it now.

  8. Oh yeah, image of the connector (says JAUD1 under it):
  9. Hi all, Some of you may have seen my post on the cases section like a couple of mins ago - I have no idea what casing I have, but I'm still gonna post the question. Pretty much, I have no audio. All drivers are fine. It's currently using NVIDIA HD Audio, but in a previous case this worked, I didn't need to install Realtek. However I did, that didn't work so I reinstalled Windows. I've done a CMOS reset, checked that onboard audio is enabled, which didn't work. My PC says there is back panel speakers plugged in (Speakers, Default Device) but I hear no audio. Also it says there is headphones but there aren't any plugged in, like it's detecting the front port. Seeming as I have like 4 HDDs I might try a Windows 7 install but who knows. Thats the other topic.
  10. What? Why didn't all my pictures upload? Hang on lol
  11. MSI MS-7680. Images. Thanks everyone for the help so far.
  12. That did help, thanks - but I only have one connector - audio, the images I'm about to send show it. I'm still clueless about why the back panel audio is not working, seeming as I've plugged two different devices in and they come up in Playback Devices - enabled and all, yet no audio. Also headphones comes up (like the front connector works) but it says its not plugged in when it clearly is.
  13. The previous owner worked with MS-DOS and old OSes a lot - no idea why. I don't use it.
